I honestly don't know where to post this anymore. It seems like if it doesn't follow the flow, it will be revoked, but I'll give it a shot over here.

I'm sure you've all seen those posts/videos that say "I want a guy who is 6'4, makes 6 figures, has six-pack abs, etc." That's all 'dandy'; it's your standard and has nothing to do with me.

However, if you dive deeper, the reason for these standards stems from generalizations.

What they really mean sometimes is "I don't want a short person because they have short-person energy. I don't want a broke boy because he has a poor-person mentality. I don't want a chubby guy because he has a fat-person mindset, etc."

This is the part that gets me. These assumptions that just because someone is something like short doesn't mean they will 100% have that attitude that icks you.

It goes both ways; if you want a woman who doesn't mind cooking and cleaning for you, it doesn't 100% mean she's wifey material.

The difference is that it's almost a cult. Millions of women every day state their standards, and when questioned, it has something to do with "because they have ____ energy."

Some even state that people who worked in certain fields cannot be in their standards. For example, "If you ever worked as a police officer, firefighter, EMS, or military, then no" (I've literally seen this posted, and when asked about it, the reason isn't because they work long hours, but because of the "toxic culture" in those fields).

I know not all women think this way, but the number that does, in my perspective, is alarming. They are teaching newer (and older) generations these things, making it seem okay to judge a person entirely based on the circumstances they are in, sometimes not controllable.

If men stated their standards in a similar manner, I would be going off on them too.

And this isn't coming from someone who doesn't fit the standards. I am 6'1, make six figures, and have 15% body fat. I know anyone online can lie, but I swear on my own life that this is my truth.

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter what they say, but I just want to see people agree that it's ridiculous to make those assumptions. I wouldn't want to be with those types of women anyway.

Look, if you have standards, that's okay, but if those standards are based on assumptions about people who are this way, then I hope life will teach you a good and virtuous lesson.

And before I finish this post, I would like to say that yes, I am throwing rocks at people. Talking about how to be virtuous and whatnot, but I am not perfect. I have a thing against people who throw rocks. I'm sure everyone has sinned. No, I'm not religious; I wasn't even born in a religious family, but that is my favorite virtue of all time.

Anyways, TL;DR: When someone states their preferences and it's because "people who ___ have ___ energy," this is completely immoral.

Of course, there are good counterarguments to this, and those may be justifiable, but I'm focused on the unjustifiable ones.
