I thought that this was the case anyway tbh, men going to jail and having their livelihood taken away from them, losing the trust of everybody they know including their parents, partners and children. But I just watched a video where a guy likely died, the title of the video indicated the guy who got beaten up tried to rape the other person's sister. Every single comment was "he deserved it" "it should have been worse" etc, despite the guy having his head kicked while he was unconscious. People were going off the title as fact.
Tries as well, yet still only a couple of people doubted or even considered for a second that it might not have been true.
We live in such a pathetic society where every man seems to have such a fragile ego that they feel the need to kill other men just at the drop of a woman's hat.
How the fuck does a false rape accusation not carry a jail sentence when proven to be false? So many women seem to use it freely to get their own way because they know they'll be believed most of the time. I remember watching a judge TV show with a woman judge (not judge judy) and the claimant just drops a rape accusation out of nowhere, almost as if she thinks the judge will immediately empathise with her, anyway she completely fucks the story up and it vanishes as quickly as it was brought up. But even in that scenario, the first thing the judge said to the defendant wasn't "did you rape her?" Or question him on it, she asks him "do you know what it means when a woman says no?" LITERALLY THE FIRST QUESTION SHE ASKS!
We supposedly live in a society of "innocent until proven guilty", but there's fine print right next to it that adds; "unless a woman is involved in which case she is right until proven otherwise."
I've deviated from the title a little bit, but the point still stands, victims of rape don't have it as bad as victims of false rape accusations imo, and considering the consequences for the accuser as well as the general ease of making a believer out of others, I just think it's a very under-addressed topic in society.
