Usually I would criticize people for cherry pickpicking with these kinds of posts, but anyone who thinks our species isn't pre-disposed to favoring the female gender is an ignorant fool, and examples like this prove that gender bias is an extremely real thing.

Afterall, which village would be more successful at surviving the long term? A village with 10 men and 100 women, or a village with 10 women and 100 men?

I went through all the posts, and without fail the women averaged far more upvotes and comments than the men. The only exception was a man who looked like a male-model.

So if we are to draw conclusions from this subreddit, the non disposable members of the human species are the top 95% of women (children obv), and men that are in the top 5% attractiveness. I say 5%, because a new Tinder study has revealed the 80/20 rule is actually 95/5.

Yes, but if a crisis arises, which happened many times throughout human history, which gender are you going to send out to solve the problem despite death being imminent?

No, it is why it is beneficial to keep women home rather than men. Not rather than both. And specifically in a situation where it has caused 90 of the outgoers to die.

Of course a village that keeps both sexes safe so noone leaves the village would have resource problems. One that has lost 90% of its men probably does too. Because the hunters/pillagers are down to 10%.

To explain my original question again, it sounded like you were saying that a village where the men died during hunting/pillaging was better of than one where they didn't die hunting/pillaging (as in they managed to do it without dying).

The person you replied to said the village with a 1 to 1 ratio (100/100) was better off and you started talking about why a village with a 1 to 10 ratio (10/100) was better off since they didn't have resource problems.

And? What's wrong with that? I always hear this, that somehow because the attention has a sexual undertone that it's meaningless. Yet it's still positive attention that most men would die for.

Like damn, the average man, we get nothing. The most positive attention I get from a woman is a "thank you" and a smile when I help them reach something off a grocery store shelf. Gotta provide something to even get a shred of humanity.

Well, I thought the same until I have really started remembering things: who are the majority of teachers on schools? Women. Kids spend the most of their valuable time in schools.

Or from my life I can tell a ton of women who told me to man up: from when I didn't want to lift heavy things with my shitty spine to I'm not having the body type to play metal (wtf? I was like). Or my ex getting angry when I was mugged and didn't look for help (I did), but my male friends understood how you can freeze...

Or countless women complaining that military training should be mandatory because modern guys are so irresponsible.

So, it's very much a female thing as well, just the way it is put to us is more subtle.

On the other hand we should be more aware of a culture existing that tries to rob us from our emotions and vulnerabilities to be expressed. That way you will ask the questions necessary for a guy to open up and that way you will catch yourself before you judge someone.
