For women it's easier because they have much more freedom to make choices, do what they want:

they can decide to have sex,
they can choose what to study,
nowadays they have many more alternatives then men where to work,
they can stay home, if they like it
they can choose what to wear
they can choose where to live,
if they have financial troubles, there are legal solutions for them,
in certain troubles they can solve it themselves or ask a man to solve it,
they can have the kids or not in a divorce,
and the list could go on.

(Of course men have a choice in some of the situations above, but women can choose much more freely.)

I think I probably have it easier as a man. There's perks to being a woman but I love my height and strength. It's simple, but being big makes life so much easier.
