As a woman, I feel somewhat comfortable talking about my interest in men’s rights to my male friends, but I’m not prepared for the minefield of bringing it up with female friends

But people are usually surprisingly receptive and often agree with 90% of your points....

Its just the feminist types that usually disagree and try to justify their misandry by giving 'patriarchy' or 'history' as an excuse..

But at least 60% are somewhat aware and even agree that feminism treats men unfairly.

When I do, I just get called a misogynist or an incel, it's gotten to the point that I consider being called an insult instead of a factual reply as a compliment, because it means they can't statistically counter what I'm saying. For everything I say relating to men's rights, I make sure I have a source to back it up so they are forced to take me seriously in a debate. It's hard to face the fact that your opinion is intellectually wrong when you have been doctored with feminist relations for decades on end.

Go for it, and call it 'egality'. You won't impress feminists, but you will persuade normal human beings. I have a 'woke' daughter, and we can discuss matters under the 'egality' umbrella.

I self-censor. I ask myself if it is worth the negative consequences affecting my mental health. Ironically, I was even reluctant to talk to my counsellor about it.

It's worth developing your rhetorical skills to be better at talking about it.

Most people seem to focus on the facts. This is not very effective. To be effective you have to be right about the facts, AND convincing AND persuasive.

Being convincing means gaining the respect of the person you are talking to. You want them to think you are worth listening to. One way to do this is to be curious about the other person's position and genuinely listen. Agree with them as much as possible. Another way is to demonstrate your understanding and knowledge of the subject area you are talking about.

Being persuasive means using stories and emotions to engage your listeners. This is how you get people to care. I'm not very good at this. You can see examples of this in newspapers and magazines when they do longer-form pieces on specific issues. There's always a story of someone's personal experience.

I'm pretty comfortable talking about it even with my family because I have a better idea about what we're talking about than whichever people I'm talking to. If anyone gets uncomfortable, it's them because they know they're wrong

I'm a woman so I don't know if this counts, but I'm quite comfortable talking about men's issues and the additional awareness that they need. If you hit them with the facts, they might be salty about it, but there isn't much they can say back.

A typical woman won’t care about men’s rights until she has a son of her own and realizes society is trying to emasculate him.

So, with only a modicum of sarcasm I’d say that I never really give credence to a woman who says she supports men’s rights until she raises a male child.

Stereotypes? Yah, sure...see? It’s not only feminists who can stereotype...,
