Of course, if the were assault victims, it wouldn't be a false accusation. We are talking about people who weren't assaulted and claim they were. They are not assault victims, and therefore the statement would not apply to them.

Critics would charge that an entire group of people was being unfairly targeted for the actions of a few—and in a manner more likely to induce public humiliation than behavioral change. The same is true of the image of white men promoted in “Don’t Be That Guy,” and yet men are not even allowed to say so without incurring further outrageous accusations.

I have to admit that I'm kind of gobsmacked to see someone outside of mens' rights blogs / subreddits who actually recognizes the problem. The shock itself is pleasant, thought the fact that it is shocking is sad.

The guy may have only had one case where a woman recanted her story, but what woman would recant a story? You can get charged for that, much better to just let them say there was not enough (any) evidence to prosecute.

It's hard not to lose hope when I read articles like this, we have a long long way to go to undo this damage. I don't even know where to begin, except at home. I've got two daughters and I'm going to raise them right and hopefully they'll be my allies going forth and reversing this tide of obvious double standards.

I'm not familiar with this publication, do they frequently discuss MR matters?

I really hope they don't usually weigh in on such issues because that would indicate a growing public backlash against feminism and the excesses to which they've taken their blatant misandry.

Despite the almost jocular wording in some of the posters, the insulting message is clear: young white men are so morally obtuse about sex and so prone to commit assault as to require a public finger wagging and calling-out: Don’t be that guy! Don’t be the guy who violates an unconscious or unwilling victim. The average white man is presumed to need elementary instruction in how to treat a woman.

That's so well put. It's exactly how I feel about these posters, but I haven't been able to word it. Well done Janice!

Every. Single. Fucking. Time. feminists are questioned about the 'Only men can stop rape!' campaign and its offshoots (like the 'don't be that guy' campaign), they claim until they are blue in the fact that it is purely tongue in cheek -- a way to make fun of the 'rape awareness' campaigns of the past that put the onus entirely on women.

And yet every once in a while, something like this happens to prove what irredeemable liars they all are. This campaign is clearly serious. Every feminist and her brother demands that this be taken so seriously that no parody should be allowed!

So which is it, feminists? Are these campaigns ironic call-outs, or are they serious rape prevention efforts? Because feminists seem to claim whichever is most convenient for them at a given moment. If the feminist is coming under criticism for the obvious sexist and man-hating nature of these ads, it's all just a joke! If someone tries to tell their own joke, it's suddenly life or death serious!

Feminists are liars and hypocrites. There are no exceptions.

If the personality from the CBC was a man ,( I wish they would have named her) , had said for husbands to shut up their annoying wives.

It would have been on on news rotation for day and the man's immediate termination and the entire CBC would have required gender sensitivity training from feminists.
