Explaining "Nose Ring Theory"

This is (somewhat) tangential to the main issue of men's rights but it is relevant because to me, when women do things like getting nose rings, extreme body piercings and/or extensive tattoos, etc. there is a feeling in some feminist circles celebrating these women "empowering" themselves and "making a bold statement" etc.

Yet when men do the same thing, they are seen as being aggressive, telling the world to eff off, advertising their "toxic masculinity" etc. I don't know if this is a true double standard exactly, but I thought the video was interesting in its own right. You'll want to read the comments on that YouTube video. A lot of people are correctly calling the woman in the first part of the video as being the problem here, not the men she is dating.
