dude, you can't afford NOT to have a lawyer. Get one, whatever it costs. The more you can come up with, the better the lawyer you can get. Sell your car, house, blood plasma, whatever. If everything you say here is true, a good attorney should be able to refute things if there's no evidence, and if she can't keep her story straight. But if you fail to get an attorney, i will almost guarantee she will win and you will lose years of your life, possibly to prison. Situations don't get more serious than this, you need to be in full self-defense mode. Your job doesn't matter right now, your friends don't matter right now, your parents don't matter right now. If you don't treat this situation correctly, you will lose all of that anyway.

And after you beat these charges, get rid of her. She obviously has no compassion or empathy for you or her siblings. She's a sociopath who would willingly put you in a position worse than death. For your own sake, and your other children, get her gone. She doesn't love or care about you, she's nearly an adult and these actions are taken with understanding of the consequences, and you can't change her. Get her gone.

Search out your local Legal Aid office if paying a lawyer isn't an option. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but would a lawyer be able to issue a subpoena for the daughter's medical history? Assuming the OP's daughter is a minor, would OP be able to ask for those records anyway or does he have to be the custodial parent? Or am I just giving false hope because doctor-patient confidentiality trumps any sort of subpoena? Being able to do this though might vary from state to state though.

1) You need to get a lawyer, you need to find a way to make this happen.

2) You are very fortunate in that there is a well documented history of the mother making false allegations, and of the mother encouraging your daughter to make false allegations. This will be immensely helpful in your case and their story will be doubted from start, and their inability to produce evidence should ruin their case fairly quickly.

If you can't afford a lawyer, force the issue. If this becomes a criminal case, the standards of proof are higher, and you're guaranteed a lawyer at the state's expense if you can't afford one.
