This is quite well established. Google proactively doing that for years now. You would loose your mind what '' types '' of sheer propaganda you receive when you search about many topics. For example circumsission on google is absolute and gives only [ do it now ] types of results. Mgtow gives incel mass shooting news results. It is insane even wikip■dia levels of narrative revisionism

I confirm if you search stuff side by side in Chrome/Google and DuckDuckGo, you will be amazed how much greater the censorship is on Google.... huge differences

just searched it myself; and "reddit mra" has some handful of other subs, somewhere down a few hits it has the actual r/mra sub, which is apparently a matchbox racing association sub; either that or magnetic resonance angiography? Kind of giggled at that one, tbh; though the sub itself is literally just 2 threads. Some handful of other, askmen, feminists, etc. links above that.

Instead, "reddit mensrights", and this sub pops up at the top.

Not that swapping your primary search engine is bad or anything, but seems a bit like even if google was censoring the "reddit mra" results, it's also a bit inconclusive due to what you were actually putting in the search bar.

Duck duck go uses Google for search result at it was what I read some years ago about how it operates.

It's disturbing because I'm not being banned from Reddits for posting here. It dystopian to see how information is being controlled and that people are being manipulated.

There are so many things related to Jen’s rights and feminist propaganda I used to find easily in a Google search that are now nearly impossible to find. I experienced that just today in trying to find articles explaining the bias behind the college rape stats. Try doing a google search for what the wage gap actually measures: most results will be feminist propaganda.

Pro-tip: if you're looking for information online and have access to Chat GPT 4, it honestly serves as a better knowledge search engine than Google anymore. You can specifically instruct that it provide citations for its information, which links to useful sources in most cases.

I might not use it for breaking news in the past few weeks, but I would highly recommend it for like... How to build a computer in 2023, or how does quartz form, or What were the achievements of Malcolm X? It's much more concise than Wikipedia while also being half-good at making analogies and comparisons for easier-to-grasp concepts.

It's not perfect for contentious subjects, but you can usually work around its polite warnings about subject matter if you know how to phrase a good question.

Not sure what's happening with your search but if I google "men's rights" the top result is wikipedia followed by a MRA organization. If I add "reddit" to the search the top result is this sub.

So I just tested this and can say this is false. Googling men’s rights first, and loads of different sites came up. Then googled this sub and it came up number 1 on the page.

So before you act like a victim, maybe you’re underage, maybe it’s your country. Who knows. But it’s not shadowbanned or unsearchable. And neither are the many many other sites and profiles across other platforms.

Many people here accused me of lying about my search results. I feel touched by it so here i am to clarify stuff.

I just retested it using proxy websites (available on the internet, you can do it yourself) to exclude all tracking-related data. Here is a comparison of search results:

I stand corrected: It is possible to find this subreddit using different phrasing. But the fact is: It is WAY easier to find it on any alternative browser. You can use duck duck go for that example and test it yourself. Phrases like MRA, Men's rights, etc. are pointing to some random websites or feminist media.

I encourage everyone to check the phenomenon for themselves. Use new devices to make the measurement objective.
