The /r/feminism mods are toxic and create an environment where dissenting opinions are silenced. I was banned for posting that men have issues too in a thread about dating (so it was relevant). Anything that dares to run counter to the narrative that women are oppressed and disadvantaged in every aspect of life is stomped out because then it would call many of their beliefs into question. These toxic mods create a toxic community based around a toxic ideology.

There is no room to work with them. I would gladly hold hands and fight sexism and inequality against both sexes but no feminist would ever agree to. The movement is no longer about equality but is instead based on brainwashing, coercion, and blatant power grabbing. There are plenty of women who mistakenly identify as feminist who indeed do care about equality but try to distance themselves from the "extremists", and they are the ones who we can work with.

I am a firm believer that for anything to get done MRAs and Feminists need to work together, because they should be working toward a common goal.

If any feminists want to disavow patriarchy theory and misandry and become MRAs, they're welcome to. Otherwise, we don't really have much common ground.

I think a lot of the people who want feminists and MRAs to work together are naive.

This isn't coming from some childishly simplistic "because they're bad people who hate men and we're good people who just want equality" but instead from a more reasonable understanding of the fact that feminist theory has a lot of core ideas (like the idea we live in a patriarchy, that women are oppressed, that sexism against men is impossible, etc.) that most MRAs are (for good reason, in my personal opinion) unwilling to accept.

We simply view society and gender issues so differently that working together is impractical. If we can bridge some gap in this (which would include both sides making concessions) then we might be able to work together.

Men's rights activists could work with egalitarian groups, but not with feminists. Feminism is not an equal rights movement. It's a political power movement that bills itself as an equal rights movement to hide the hateful activities of its established mainstream.
