Feminism is not a movement for gender equality. It is not even a movement for women's rights.

It's really simple to rationalize this. If feminism were concerned with women's rights, feminists would immediately open the door to men, and be willing to discuss men's issues, listening to male perspectives. Instead, the only feminist-approved reasons for any male issues (if they are willing to acknowledge them in the first place) are toxic masculinity and the patriarchy. If you're a man and, in your own experience, you feel that your issues were caused by something else, you are going to be met with nothing but vitriol and accusations of sexism.

Men don't like the idea that men's issues can only be solved from within. Men don't like being victim blamed. Men don't like toxic masculinity, which places the responsibility right back in the victim's court. It's inaccurate and insulting to suffering men. If they got rid of this rhetoric and actively expelled manhaters like Clementine Ford from their movement, I can see tons of men willing to sit down and talk.

The amount that feminism could accomplish with even half of the men out there on board is exorbitantly higher than what it accomplishes now. Jesus, imagine a brand of feminism willing to discuss all gender-related issues in a manner conducive to actually solving them.

Never going to happen. Feminism devotes too many resources to denying male problems. Feminism devotes too much energy to misandry.

So yes, while I think that on a certain level feminists want a better world for women, it's not their highest priority. Their highest priority is just hating men.

Believing that men couldn’t possibly experience sexism (or if they do it doesn’t matter or it’s our fault), is sexist, just like how it’s okay to be racist now as long as the recipient is white. Women experience sexism for sure, just not in the way that they think, holding the door open- that’s sexism, she can open it herself. Paying for dates and buying her things, allowing her to copy your homework; that’s sexism. Lowering requirements and grading females easier, that’s sexism. Hiring on the basis of sex to try to get more women preferably women of color in your organization is sexism.

Giving women special treatment, social safety nets, lower standards, and extreme benefit of the doubt is sexism. Nature is sexist, nature made women the vulnerable sex. They have to carry a baby for 9 months, then birth it and hopefully not die in the process, then they have like 10 years with this child attached at the hip before he/she becomes somewhat self sufficient. Not to mention they’re physically weaker and the environment is not friendly to women, so because women are the vulnerable sex they will always be given priority. When talking about mental illness and suicide, everyone defaults to women’s issues not men’s.

Netflix doc the social dilemma describes young girls suicide rate increasing, but makes no mention of the fact that boys’ suicide rate has increased much more dramatically, and males commit suicide at 3-5 times the rate as girls, but the only thing we talk about, the only thing society gives a fuck about are girls. Men are seen as disposable, if a man gets used and extorted by a gold digger, then you should’ve kept it in your pants, instead of pointing the finger at the one who dug the hole and laid traps in it. If you get ruined in divorce then you should’ve known better, instead of looking at the woman and the system that allows this. Forcing a man to pay for and raise another man’s child, obscuring paternity and legalized cuckoldry is sexism. Prioritizing only women’s mating strategy/life strategy and expecting men to completely abandon theirs is sexism. Having a different set of rules for women in the judicial system is sexism.

I find it hard to believe that women in general in the US are disadvantaged by systemic sexism, what about all that affirmative action and female lead roles in every movie? You may be able to find some one off cases, but the US is a gynocentric social order, if anyone is affected by sexism on an endemic level it’s men. So because women are steeped in gynocentrism, but believe we live in a patriarchy, they’ve gotten used to a very imbalanced female-primary social order, so if we try to actually restore balance then that will be seen as sexism. Women have come to expect that they should have 100% authority and 0% responsibility, with upmost priority in society, so if anyone tries to restore balance (even marginally so) by removing no fault divorce, removing legalized cuckoldry and obscured paternity, then that will be seen as misogyny or sexism. If we don’t just give women 100% power and authority and sublimate/abandon our own needs, then we’ll be called sexist. The only thing that will bring it back to a natural order is if we get hit by a meteor, but once we get back on our feet, then the gynocentrism will seep back in and we’ll be back to where we are now.

It's is male who are broadly affected by this sexism.. When an Indian Olympic winner Neeraj Chopra was interviewed, the interviewer ask him about his style and told him that girls liking his style.. I am sure if had accepted that then his gold made would have been snatched..
