I agree. Like all cases I hope for justice, and this sounds like it to me.

I read a comment on the Live chat "If she loses, she's going to get 5 years."

Me: She deserves longer.

I wonder if this trial will be a watershed event... it has the very real potential to be one.

[+]streisandedinfo1 points 4 years ago [recovered] (1 child) | Copy Link

No the only watershed event is if we actually organize

[–]Adanu0 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

We have organizations. People just don't join them overtly due to the stigma involved or being brainwashed to believe we're not second class citizens. Try the NCFM.

Sad but true.

I think he was Only with her, cause Metoo was becoming a bigger thing. My question for the judge: Why didn't you ask "What was that note you gave your lawyer?" I bet it was "I'll suck your dick if you keep doing this and that"

[–]Angryasfk 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Metoo was certainly why she wrote that Op Ed, for pure self promotion. However their marriage was prior to the whole exposure of Weinstein, so I don’t see what #metoo and to do with Depp being with her.

I watched the end of the live feed. Ambers attorney was interviewing a worker that worked for them. Amber's attorney is painting a picture of Johnny doing drugs and drinking and Amber being afraid to speak up to him. Classical Duluth coercive control. Let's see how it plays out.

[–]Angryasfk 7 points8 points9 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes, she was so “afraid” she had not choice to throw pots and pans and do other violence because she was “so angry”. Never realised that “angry” really meant “self defence” but apparently it does!

Duluth model and Kimberly Crenshaw need to end now

[–]Sailbad_the_Sinner30 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (39 children) | Copy Link

What the hell is wrong with Kimberlé Crenshaw, exactly?

[+]streisandedinfo1 points 4 years ago [recovered] (38 children) | Copy Link

It is Crenshaw’s power equals privilege logic which allows us to Put thousands and thousands of men in prison

[–]Sailbad_the_Sinner30 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (37 children) | Copy Link

Can you point to me where Crenshaw says power = privilege? Because I have read a lot of her work and never encountered that.

But even so, you would disagree with that?

Also, you DO know Crenshaw’s a prison abolitionist, right? And that her work is not at all routinely used in courts of law? If it were, there’d be a hell of a lot of less men in prison.

Forgive me for presuming, but it sounds an awful lot like someone just told you Crenshaw is bad (probably because of Critical Race Theory, amirite?) and you’re just sort of freestyling on that.

[+]streisandedinfo1 points 4 years ago [recovered] (36 children) | Copy Link

Madame. Do you want me to show you a picture of myself with my two profs, Gina dent and Angela Davis?

Abolitionism exists as a bad aftertaste to what the horrors of feminism have done in the name of womens security over the last 50 years.

The personal is political is actually just a neoliberal tool of the working classes.

What feminists have done, is basically moralize a society where the political forces itself into the personal at every turn, whether through academia, the apa, or even by producing neoliberal ear worms that infect the deepest human connections with one another by turning them into capitalist privilege cost benefit analyses.

Also check out joy James critique of Angela Davis, will be mind blowing.

If you are interested in what I am saying, search “prescribed intersectionality is integral to the logic of neoliberal colonialism”

It’s unfortunate that the knee jerk reaction is that you are talking to someone mesmerized by Fox News, when in fact, I have a phd in philosophy lol

[–]Sailbad_the_Sinner30 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (35 children) | Copy Link

Hi, cousin. Sure! Post your photos! I had Angela as a prof, too, way back in 1985. Hell, post your name. I have posted mine.

I notice that you have studiously avoided answering my question in your rush to show your feminist creds: where does Crenshaw say what you claim she says?

I’m friends with Susan Dewey and Elizabeth Bernstein and a big follower of everything Kristen Bummiller writes. So if your point is that carceral feminism is a thing and that many of the so-called women’s safety laws do anything but improve women’s safety, you’re preaching to the converted.

But Crenshaw has nothing to do with that. For those laws, you can thank an earlier generation and particularly white bourgeois feminists like McKinnon.

What you are doing here is stringing a bunch of words together that sound important and deep, but which artfully dodge my original question: how is Crenshaw responsible for male incarceration?

[+]streisandedinfo1 points 4 years ago [recovered] (34 children) | Copy Link

Crenshaw is the primary person who normalized “power equals privilege” through her ideas of prescribed intersectionality.

I am using my own words to describe what she is saying.

See the video “intersectionality is integral to the logic of neoliberal colonialism”

And if you want to actually do some research, search “critique of feminist jurisprudence” and see if you can find anything.

If you can’t find anything, then you must realize, why feminism is cancer

[–]Sailbad_the_Sinner30 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (33 children) | Copy Link

What the hell does “prescribed intersectionality” even mean? Crenshaw never put those two words together, as far as I am aware. Give me the elevator pitch.

Cousin, you’ve been dodging my question for a couple of days now. What I am asking is quite simple: please define what intersectionality is to you. What do you mean when you say “it’s the logic of colonialism”?

Friend, I am not going to pump your youtube channel until and unless you demonstrate that you are at least cognizant of the meanings of the terms you are using. There’s just too large a backlog of “The Prehistory Guys” for me to get through. If you want me watching your videos, at least show me there’s something there other than you rattling off jargon that you don’t understand.

“The moralization of the commodification of emotional labor”…? What does that have to do with intersectionality?

Tell the truth now: you really don’t have the slightest understanding of what you are talking about. You are just stringing terms together.

[–] Sailbad_the_Sinner30 0 points 1 point 2 points 4 years ago   (7 children) | Copy Link

So how does intersectionality “force people to be ‘anti-racist’”? And what does that have to do with moralization, commodification,or emotional labor?

You know what you sound like? A bot that’s been given a vocabulary taken from feminist sociology journals and programmed to put together sentences. I would seriously not be surprised if that’s what you actually are.

What I understand here is that you don’t seem to understand the meaning of the following words:

Critical race theory; Moralize; Commodification; Interpersonal; Class

And also probably not: Feminism; Capitalist; Power; Privilege.

I have my serious doubts about “human”, too.

Yeah, no. “Excruciating detail” is the exact opposite of an elevator pitch. Give me the abstract, please.

What it APPEARS to me, so far, is that you are someone who has learned some jargon without understanding what it means and you are just repeating it to pump your youtube channel.

Again, I’m not anonymous here. Why are you, if you are what you say?

Feminism can indeed uphold privilege, yes. That is exactly what many intersectional theorists have said, beginning with people like Kimberlé Crenshaw.

But that is far from the only thing feminism does. It can also challenge privilege.

I agree. You do seem to be wasting a lot of time repeating other people’s word configurations. Thank you! That is a very apt description of what you seem to be doing. You’ve noted certain words pop up in conversations about sex and gender, so you figure if you just string them all together in some youtube video and hype that on MRA sites, who knows, maybe you’ll be able to become internet famous?

Like I said, I have too much good stuff to listen to to bother with trashpanda pickings and conspiracy theoretizing on youtube. You are more than welcome to melt your brain as much as you like, however. Go for it!
