The men’s movement is based on seeking equal rights for men and recognizes the many biases against men, some legal, some a matter of practice.

Since the men’s movement can point to actual discriminatory practices, it has no need to make up a mythical system of oppression as feminists do with their patriarchy theory.

I would say (one of) the biggest issue(s) for MRA is equality in the legal system (divorce, custody, etc). This is what I lead with when explaining MRA values to folks who ask. It's a pretty easy example to highlight inequality and it's likely whomever you're talking to knows a man who's been affected by it.

If you insist on a why, it's the idea that men are disposable while women are precious.

This idea has its roots in evolutionary biology.

All men's legal discrimination stems from this idea.

From my digging, the core concept that enabled feminism came from when pedestalizing women came into the public conscience. It actually wasn't always this way, although it's been so long ( around 500 years!) that it seems like it. It occurred when what we now call courtly love became a theme in literature which found its way into the public conscience and people started to try to have relationships like portrayed in that literature. Much of what we call chivalry now was when courtly love got grafted into chivalry around 1500 AD.

MRA wants equality but women don't want to give up their pedestal.

We are not ruled by woman but by their interests of them its easy to spot it. Look at their courts, the law system and the gender dynamic all in favor of woman. The hate Patriarchy but also in the same time, they are using the elements of the patriarchy for the benefits like chivalry and white Knighting. So the overreaching is narrative doesn't exist in MRA because we don't need enemies but feminism need man as enemies to even survive.

Imagen a world without children and man? Feminism and the patriarchy would be dead even when man would seperate From entirely.

I’m not an MRA so my opinion doesn’t really count. But I would see it as one of equality whilst recognising that there are real biological and physiological differences. There are far fewer women, for example, who are able to pass a decent physical test for emergency services or the military (certainly for combat positions). And strength is a basic requirement for these positions. So it’s clear that in a system where people are treated equally, far fewer women would qualify. We should accept that. We should also accept that more men want to be engineers and tradies. And that more women want to be teachers, social workers and care for children. We shouldn’t try to use “quotas” to change that. Similarly for mining any other jobs in remote areas where women, particularly ones with small children would be more reluctant to take.

To mind my mind and what I would like to see is Reductionism based on the philosophy of science. Reality is convoluted, correlation =/= causation. To solve a problem one has to understand the problem. To dismiss ones ignorance, is to become arrogant and wallow in it. We are not omnipresent nor omniscient, everything we think we know is little better than an educated guess. It's effectively, in simple terms, how do we attain the future we all want? That which desire and obstacles are irrelevant and non existent, while accepting the cruel tyranny of reality and not making it worse through utopian fallacies. Things being perfect may be an infinite journey but every step forward brings us closer to this end, while also realizing that we are were we are in the now. Ends are constructed and defined by one's means.

I usually characterize it as equality, human rights or social justice.

Some people will say this is already what feminism stands for, but this is pretty easy to disprove by quoting modern feminists talking about the usual things. For example, belittling male victims of sexual assault, body shaming men, blaming men for their own mental health issues or advocating for female privileges that deny males equal opportunities.

Also the "kill all men" haters often claim to be feminists.

Organic Righteousness. Men didn't get together, in some back room, and plan this outcome/manifestation of reality. Patriarchy assumes that men are in power, because men suppress women's efforts at every turn. The truth of the matter is that women, generally-speaking, have a very different (or entirely absent) relationship with the concepts of "choices", "prices" and "personal accountability".

If you want something, it's not going to deliver itself to your door. Success requires effort. They're confusing standard difficulty with suppression. Success is difficult for everyone! And women aren't use to being told "no thanks", in this particular facet (or many others) of life.

Not getting what you want? Try a different approach or double your efforts on the current approach.

Still not getting what you want? Maybe you're not ready yet. Get use to rejection. Men have been served up orders of magnitude more rejection than women and most men are already use to it.

Want to see a meltdown? Tell a woman (and increasing numbers of Gen Y/Gen Z males) "no thanks". The "something for nothing" crowd is expanding, as men become more immasculated and effette.

Just make sure you've popped your popcorn, first.

This is not all forms feminism, but definitely is popular in academia where there's fantasy that all white males including working class poor are someone like dark ages aristocracy oppressing everyone else, especially women. And if you disagree with this, you are supporting the patriarchy.
