I have no sympathy for that man. None.
I hope his son is doing well and has positive male influences in his life.

The sister's boyfriend has hopefully been one, even though he's (likely?) just a few years older than him. The fact that he was willing to take in his girlfriend's younger brother (who was accused of molesting a 13 year old girl), to care for him and pay for college, speaks volumes about his character. I remember how I was early to mid 20s, I doubt I could do the same.

There is monsters everywhere.
Doesn´t matter gender, religion, race, sexual preferences...
But the idea that only men can be monsters is despicable...
[–]Ahielia 15 points16 points17 points (1 child) | Copy Link
Or the fact that a mere accusation automatically means the man is guilty is also despicable.

That´s a more complex subject. I´m a men and i understand the nature of this sub, but acusations are a different subject. Way more complex.
.A lot of times, there is more than what it comes, from both sides.
Curious fact: I could make an acusation to not 1 but 2 girls, in ttwo different situations, when i was in college that could easily be sexual assault. If it was me doing it, i could be in trouble, I would clearly get arrested. And it happened in a Psychology University so, it wouldn´t be pretty.

Bolded parts are my emphasis. Well done for the boy's older sister and her boyfriend in taking him in, and even more so for telling their father (if you can call him that) to fuck off. This guy does not deserve to reunite with these 2 children at all. He took the words of his step daughter without any fucking proof and essentially destroyed his son with it. Now he's remorseful (kind of), and wants things to go back to the way they were.
[–]LettuceBeGrateful 6 points7 points8 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Well that's enough rage fuel for a day.
I'm sure that man's remorse is sincere, but...he reaps what he sows here.
That poor boy. If I were him, I don't know that I'd ever recover from that, even with the support of a sibling.

Thanks for posting the story.
So basically the own son gets disowned at a whim without any question or thought, the lying stepdaughter gets put into 'therapy' scot free.
What a fucked up situation.

I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice.
The son should speak to a lawyer. He may have a cause of action against his step-sister's instigating bio-dad.
I would consider a lawsuit for intentional infliction of emotional distress.

To constitute depraved indifference, the defendant's conduct must be 'so wanton, so deficient in a moral sense of concern, so lacking in regard for the life or lives of others, and so blameworthy as to warrant the same criminal liability as that which the law imposes upon a person who intentionally causes a crime.

So this boy is still greiving, had his most prized possession destroyed, the necklace that he got from his dead mother taken from him, was beaten by his father who swore to protect him, because of some cunt who falsely accused him, and shes just getting therapy?
This poor guy.. a modern saying that I use alot is "You can't tell me how to feel" is so true here. The dad fucked up and he cannot change how he made his son feel. He royally fucked up.

To clarify, the parts in bold were in the original post, they have just been highlighted here
[–]Ahielia 0 points1 point2 points (2 children) | Copy Link
I didn't see any bolded parts on removeddit. What are the chances I marked exactly the same passages as the OP?They are in the OP yes, I meant my emphasis.[–]Selphia2000[S] 3 points4 points5 points (1 child) | Copy Link
Ah, you misunderstand. I was just clarifying for other people that the parts you highlighted were in the original post but you highlighted them for clarification.
The way you worded it made it seem like you had added in the highlighted parts, rather than just highlighting them
[–]Ahielia 0 points1 point2 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes I realised it after I posted, bolded parts were my emphasis.

That’s how these people get you from stop supporting men’s rights. They gaslight you, make you feel shitty for supporting men for whatever reason so that you don’t even consider helping men

It is deleted... incase someone took a screenshot can they show?
Edit: got it... if you want to see it copy the link and replace 'reddit' with 'removeddit'

I don't know, but I can give you the TLDR.
Father is told by his step-daughter that his bio son sexually assaulted her with no evidence. Father physically beats his son, destroys all his son's mementoes of his dead mother (including his prized guitar which was the same colour as his mother's eyes I might add) then kicks him out of the house at 17 y/o. Son never gets a chance to defend himself. Step-daughter later admits that she made it up on her bio-mother's instructions. She gets counseling and faces no repercussions. Father contacts his bio-daughter (who has been housing and financially supporting his son since the incident btw) to try and re-establish contact with his son.

The best thing father could do is just return the necklace

I'm just reeling with disgust; the false accusation, the domestic abuse, the violence, the complete lack of interest in accountability or agency for the girl. At least the girl didn't go to the courts to have the POS authoritarians there rubber stamp an order.
[–]Adanu0 6 points7 points8 points (0 children) | Copy Link
Wow.
I had an absent father, but I'm not sure which is worse. If I had a father like that, I'm pretty sure I would never forgive him. I never forgave my own father for a number of things in my childhood. I'm an orphan now, but I hope the bastard is being haunted.
Regardless of what the man did, it was /your/ choice to automatically believe her. You never even gave him a chance. The only thing that matters here, now... is asking your sons forgiveness and hope he's more forgiving than I am, because what you did was mental torture.

God what a piece of garbage, my Dad abandoned me when I was 8 and he was still somehow a better father than this guy.

That whole sub reads like a soap opera. I’m not sure whether to believe it’s all made up or whether it’s partially true but exaggerated.
[–]omidoggo 3 points4 points5 points (1 child) | Copy Link
Keep in mind it might be fake and prob is
[–]Mr-OhLordHaveMercy 2 points3 points4 points (0 children) | Copy Link
The thing is...yeah. Someone this distraught and fucking guilty usually doesn't come to reddit for answers to fix his mistakes. But then again social media is so fucking ingrained into people that you'll see them posting or straight up confessing to things of a personal nature. It wouldn't surprise me if this was all 100% true. Every last word of it. And the guy was in such a loss for making such a fuck up that he turned towards the internet for help. He probably doesn't want to go with his family with this, so now he ask advice from strangers.
