If an area is shown to be more active, this does not imply a person has greater mastery of their emotions/coordination.

Where was this study conducted? The following caught my notice.

There was a study done measuring the affects of circumcision on infants and the limbic system was found to be highly affected. The following quote comes from an E-book on my personal machine.

To test this theory, he had a doctor perform one of their routine circumcisions in an MRI scanner, actually scanning the infant’s brain activity as the procedure was carried out. And the result? Dramatic changes occurred in the child’s limbic system – especially the parts of the brain associated with reasoning, perception and emotions.
