And i think the reality is more and more men ARE rejecting this shame language and redefining manhood, but just not expressing it to others or connecting as fondueguy said. Not sure if anyone here saw this article, (which i have my own reservations about), but it does highlight that Men's roles in heterosexual dating and relationships are drastically changing, ontop of the nation's shifting attitudes toward homosexuals (as comfort with that lifestyle becomes more ubiquitous), "manhood" simply cannot mean the same things as it used to, nor can it mean the same things to different people. For me personally being a 'man' means taking responsibility for my actions, which often includes doing things I don't like because either they need to get done, or it's the right thing to do. Nowhere in my own definition do my hobbies, interests, or even sexual preference come in to play. I'm sure many people here have met single mothers who are more of a 'man' than many fathers because they do the right thing and take responsibility.

To give you a example, one of my best buds in HS was the result of a single mother family and he never knew his father and this really fucked with him. The first time I used the word bastard around him we flew into a rage and literally put his fist through the coke machine and got suspended over it. I thought it was awesome cause he was even shorter and smaller than me, but let me tell you I didn't ever call him a bastard or tease him about it. The real thing to remember is that women are the ones who create and enforce the male cultural and acceptable identity. It is why in every genocide I have read about it was the women pointing out the undesirables to be butchered by the alphas. Women stratify men into a hierarchy of desirable, useful, and undesirable. This is the alpha-omega dynamic and is the result of hypergamy. Hypergamy is why classism or caste systems exist in every culture and civilization known to man, even hunter/warrior tribes where the best warrior gets rewarded with more wives. It is all about twisting up male-male competition for female choice to do the bidding of women, for the benefit of women, at the expense of men.

You talk about minorities, well now that I have explained hypergamy and male-male competition just take a look at the women on the left and right of the political spectrum.
