Please can we stop downvoting things we just disagree with? That's flirting with censorship

There are a lot more people here than MRM supporters. Every week I run into feminists, crit-race people, SJWs, randoms from who-knows-what fissure of the Internet. Most of them I recognize from FemMRA debates, atheists, Feminist subreddits, SJW subreddits. It's like a constant, mini-raid going on 24/7.

[EDIT] I personally try to upvote everything that I can even imagine being related to MRA interests, even if I'm not knowledgeable on that particular focus. I try to upvote anything that seems like serious discourse, even if I somewhat disagree. As long as it looks like the person writing tried to think a coherent thought and be logical. I even upvote opponents in arguments sometimes, just because its a good argument (but I think they're logic is flawed).

Bottom line: I just want discussions on these topic areas to continue. Plain and simple. But more and more I run into people who seem to be here maliciously, just to downvote everything or post stuff with hidden SJW themes. I think it makes everyone here edgy after a while.

Don't take getting downvoted as a sign of what the MRAs here think, per se.

I tend to upvote comments that are either more than a single line, or comments that I feel have been unfairly downvoted. I very rarely downvote people unless the quality of the post is terrible, or they are posting something bigoted/antimra. I prefer to use the voting tool as more than a 'like/dislike' button.

Also, all this talk of "This anonymous user's claimed experience is threatened by people who disagree with their worldview! Make this a safe space!" is exactly what we DON'T want.

Disagreeing with bullshit is one of the the core premises of the MRM.

This subreddit is heavily brigaded by SRS and AMR, and recently it has became even worse.

As SRS and AMR are mass downvoting content, in particular linked content, they are skewing our results.

Watching the frequency that votes change is much more interesting then whether the votes are up or down. Changing votes means that people are reading and reacting to posts.

Sorry, but I disagree. When you see a troll slip through the cracks (like someone that claims that the majority of British men he knows wishes they were circumcised), it is only natural to downvote them.

Doing it just because you disagree with something is completely different. But when someone posts something asinine like that (there was another guy in the same thread who was telling me that I was the only guy he ever knew who complained about being circumcised), they deserve the downvotes.

I can get behind this. I've had a number of posts poo-poo'ed despite being MR-friendly. I remember once I got downvoted for saying that just because a guy is 16, that doesn't mean he can't consent to sex.

I've also had some shit flung at me for saying that maybe people should use less divisive language when discussing controversial topics. Apparently watching what you say is "feminist".

Also: I can't stand when feminists or anti-MRAs come in with legitimate grievances or questions, and they just get called trolls and shouted down. It's like many people here don't want potential allies. And don't give me that shit that feminists are incapable of changing their minds.
