I imagine their views go something like this.

"A dog is a lovable and kind creature, and so it is wrong to hurt them for trivial reasons."

"A baby isn't anywhere near as lovable, so it's fine to hurt them for trivial reasons. It's tradition."

It's very difficult to change peoples' minds about things that are considered normal in society. Circumcision (at least in the US) is just something that's expected. People who are in favor of it are rarely challenged for it (and, mind you, I don't think they should be unduly harassed) so they never have to question why it's done or whether it's actually ethical.

This isn't exclusive to women, either. Plenty of dads out there want their baby boys cut because of tradition or potential teasing.

If they seem open to talking about it, I'd ask them what about circumcision justifies cutting off a piece of a little boy's body.

It baffles me that people are still so hostile towards foreskin. It's like they think it's some kind of scary disease ridden parasite living on a dick. I can't tell you how many times I've heard people talk about it and say "eww," or "gross." It's a fucking piece of skin, and shaming men for their lack of circumcision is a major problem in the usa. It affected me a lot growing up, and a good friend of mine who is objectively extremely attractive admitted to me that he has never had sex due to his insecurity.

I've never understood this. Don't get me wrong, I like animals, but I'd kill 10 dogs to save one human's life (assuming it isn't someone I hate). How the fuck is cropping a dog's tail "mutilation" (for the record, I think it is), but cutting up a baby boy's penis not only not mutilation, but desirable? Some people are idiots.

circumcision is wrong. Its a strange artifact of involuntary bodily mutilation that piles of people believe is healthier or cleaner.A bit of research clears all this up on top of the fact that it should be someones decision to cut their penis or chop it in half or what have you. This is no better than Female Genital Mutilation, its just been institutionalized.

I have to get it done for medical reasons. I've tried stretching and creams and i can't be bothered with doing that all the time for the rest of my life, when i stop, it just tightens up again.

For me, circumcision is a VERY good thing, and it annoys me trying to find peoples views on who have had it done at a later age, to wonder how bad or good it is, because people who havn't had it done always chirp up about its "unnatural, dont let THEM rule your body!"
