The author does realise that there's a middle path between misogyny, and man-hating, right?

The solution isn't "put up with crazy women". It's "learn to use better words than 'crazy' to describe someone you don't click with".

Women tend to use more precise labels. "He's emotionally draining, he isn't willing to compromise, he's emotionally abusive" and so on. Our society says that if a man isn't willing to put up with a SO who they just don't get on with, the only excuse is "she's crazy". Not "yeah, we just didn't click".

A friend of mine posted this on FB, so I started reading it. This sounds like the writer is trying to say that women shouldn't ever be called crazy or a bitch because they're just thinking differently than you. I don't know anyone who has ever called a woman crazy (in a purposefully negative way) for saying that she chose an ugly car color or having a differing opinion.

What I HAVE called a woman (and a man) crazy for is purposefully ignoring important issues or for refusing to take a deep breath and look at something rationally.

Am I wrong in thinking this is another "we're the victims, men never get put down" sort of thing?

Sure, calling them crazy may be a shortcut but frankly its an effective and accurate description in most situations.

There are certain words that are applied to women specifically in order to manipulate them into compliance: "slut," "bitch," "ugly/fat" and, of course, "crazy."

I use all of these words, not just towards women. Possibly the two greatest tidbits of advice I've ever gotten were "bitches are crazy" from my mom and "don't stick it in the crazy" from my brother (who my mom agreed with). But if someone is being a slut, call them a slut. If they're being a bitch then tell them. People can be and are fat and ugly, and of course, some people are just flat out nuts.

"Crazy" is men puffing up and justifying breaking up with a girl.

We are defined by our achievements so we're protecting our image when we label our exes. Women can do this too, but I can't think of a similar shorthand used to describe men.

I don't understand articles like this. The main complaint seems to be that men denigrate women's feelings, this means treat her like a man in this regard. Now isn't how men are treated called male privilege and isn't it better to have male privilege than not?

Protip: When you prioritize emotion and feelings over thoughts and logic, you tend to behave in a less than sane manner. Emotion and feelings are rooted in subjective experience. Thoughts and logic are rooted in objective experience. Guess which one is most likely to be an accurate reflection of the world that we live in.

If women stopped with the prioritization of emotions and feelings, they would then stop behaving crazy. But they would also stop being able to collect all the free shit that comes with it. Wonder why they persist.
