This really was a no-win situation for the men's rights movement. On the one hand, Hillary was an incredibly misandric woman who routinely got a pass for it because she is a woman. On the other, Trump doesn't really seem to give a shit about equality or men's rights, and would sooner tell men to "man up" than try to help.

On one hand, we would have had a female president that every feminists would have used against men in every argument ever. On the other, feminists will use trump's win to further boast their feminist victim complex and patriarchy delusions(my facebook wall is already full of "Hilary lost because she's a woman!" and "The president is a women-hating rapist!" posts).

Both were misandrists. Hillary was a bit more open about it, but Trump's policies (assuming you can trust anything he said) were in some ways worse for men.

The positive that I take from this is that maybe we'll see an end to this tactic of "oh, we'll just accuse him of raping a teenager" or "oh, he enjoys sex and sexy women, so that cancels out all the smart women he put into management".

If nothing else, Trump gives the left an opportunity to wrest organizations back away from the ctrl-left. It's clear why we lost:

didn't give a damn about jobs
ran openly sexist campaign
aligned with racists
refused to identify terrorists
allied with lawbreaking queue-jumpers

With a serious reorganization on the left, we could absolutely be back in 4 years, doing it right.
