I work in a restaurant. Long story short, I got into an arguement with a girl about an outside-of-work issue (yes very immature I know but the context helped me justify it at the time). In the heat of the moment I called her a "cunt" or "slut" I can't quite remember nor does it matter. She responded by calling me a "faggot". I was sent home because an angry man is a threat and an angry woman is to be comforted. In my meeting with the boss I was told that I would be let go and that the girl would continue to work there. After a calm reasonable discussion with the boss she realized that the girl calling me the f word created a sexually hostile environment just as much as me calling her a slutty cunt. She is now fired and I have the options of resigning and receiving unemployment, returning after two weeks suspension, or restarting later this week if I really need to. I guess I am a more valuable worker :)
