What utter crap. The judge basically blamed it all on him. Clearly the violence was reciprocal and they’ve involved police multiple times.

The judge even seems to solely blame then man and keeps emphasizing ‘why were you there even though you weren’t welcome’. They don’t explain if he lived there (a good reason), only briefly mentioned the two have children together (another good reason), or if he was invited over and then assaulted by her.

They even admit there is a high probability of her attacking him again. So he’s supposed to avoid her but how’s he’s supposed to do that when they’ve got kids together? Or if this is his home?

The article and the sentence are both crap.

Ridiculous argument on the part of the judge. We can always argue a victim wouldn’t have been victimized if they weren’t present, but that doesn’t change the fact they were victimized and it doesn’t change the action of the perpetrator.

She attacked him with a knife and should be held accountable for her actions.
