When I started reading this article, and discovered she had included quotes from actual MRAs, I fainted. When I came to, I put a bandage on my forehead, and then pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

Many feminist postures have outlived their useful lives, its the common fate of most old institutions, they just work to justify their existence.

At the end the article kinda drops the ball though:

It would be dishonest not to acknowledge that feminism has helped men in important ways: It’s reduced the financial burden of men; it’s allowed men the option to be stay-at-home dads and thus nurture their relationships with their children; it’s allowed men to look at women as their equal partners.

The financial burden is actually higher now, considering that you potentially need to pay for the rest of your life for women you probably met only once. And female hypergamy dictates that you will have a higher financial burden if the woman earns more.

And there were lots of single parent dads long before the first wave of feminism, simply as a result of lots of women dying from pregnancy/birth related complications, and there was seen nothing wrong with that.

And if you actually read old literature and folk tales, you see a lot of wifes that are equal or even dominant parts of their marriage. So it is no like that was unknown or unusual until feminism showed up to safe the day.
