As a mod of /r/lawschool and a man, I'm ashamed of you morons. This is the most unfair, ridiculous thing I've ever seen anyone do. Did they call out men? No. Has law in the past favored men becoming lawyers over women? Absolutely.
They're talking about how it's now more acceptable for women to become lawyers, and that it is an accomplishment that women are finally outdoing men in law school. This is an accomplishment, because men are fiercely competitive. You're all being ridiculous. Stop brigading our subreddit.

And that is the issue. Women should not be outperforming men, they should be performing equally.
With any other group under performing you ask why. When men or white people are at the top? You accuse them of having privilege and you institute changes for women and minorities to do better.
But all of a sudden the group you have been fighting against is the one at the bottom? Well fuck them right? They deserve it for being at the top for so long. No need to figure out why this is happening all of a sudden.

Lame excuse. It doesn't matter whether the men or women are the ones who are doing better. What matters is that women are finally able to do better! They don't have any unfair advantage over us. They probably just have more motivation to do well, since women have traditionally not been allowed to be lawyers.
Once this settles down, I'm sure we'll have equal grades. There's barely a difference between male and female brains. This is a cultural thing. Let them have their moment in the sun. We've had ours for hundreds of years. It's nothing to get upset about.

You're insinuating that I've never heard of this garbage before.
You mens rights people are right on a few points, but education is not one of them. The thing you're leaving out is that women do better with some parts of the education system (reading and writing) and worse in others (math and science). If there's any cause for this, it's that our gender roles are making the sexes have interests in different things. For example, I did better in history classes than science classes back in college. Why? Because I read the history stuff more closely, as I'm deeply interested in politics.

yes, in order to bring women up from the bottom of the social pyramid. have you not seen the statistic, women make 40 cents on the dollar that men do? they are treating so terribly in our society, they need those in order to get them out of poverty.
