Bit of a rant, here, but I absolutely hate when uncircumcised women whine about how much worse FGM is to those men who have had their foreskins removed. These are people who have never had their genitals mutilated essentially complaining about how much worse they have it.

The level of self-absorption and lack of empathy is humbling.

You know, I'm willing to entertain a "women have it worse" argument on a lot of things, it might be true, it might not... I just don't see why that matters. You don't have to ingnore problems just because worse problems exist.

I don't see what religion has to do with mutilation except that it's the worst excuse I've ever heard. There's a difference between a rite of passage (men in other cultures get circumcised later in life) and just mutilation for aesthetics sake.

I understand that Jewish people feel they circumcision somehow brings men closer to god but all it does is take a piece of self that was NEVER anyone elses' to take.
