I would say, not at this point.

We are doing pretty well with raising consciousness in the general community. I think we should concentrate on spreading our message and recruiting more supporters for now.

If this works well enough, more radical tactics might not be needed. Wait and see.

I would want to distance myself from people taking radical action under the guise of the MRM.

I'm not convinced aggressive tactics would help people see the issues that are important to us, from our perspective. I know it would make me less receptive.

Educating people should be our goal and we should strive to do it in a rational and logical manner, always putting our strongest arguments and evidence forward.

I agree with EvilPundit...we're doing pretty well, all things considered. If anything, I think we need to start working on a kill-switch for the MRM. Maybe a manifesto or something along those lines, outlining very specific goals that, once achieved, will negate the need for the MRM. There are important issues that the MRM brings to light...but the movement could easily turn into something horrific, and I don't want to see that happen.

I do not believe that approach would be best. I would like to see the MRM focus on changes like more/better funded charities for helping men with Domestic Violence and Mental Health issues.

Any sucessful social justice movement has to be backed with (at least the threat of) extremely unpleasant consequence. If this does not exist, you are not going to move anything forward. Those in power have complete use of force at their disposal and are quite willing to use it. You have to look at it from the perspective of power. "I can ignore them because they are just talking." Now, power can still do as it pleases because there simply is no consequence. I would love to see the day when people in the media who daily bash men and spread fear among women are themselves constantly looking over their shoulder to see if the maniacs who pelt people with hotdogs and sausages are around! They operate with impunity because they know nothing will happen. I advocate going after press because they are the public face of all that is against us and the true tool of power. I don't advise the level of force taken against Lara Logan, Pim Fortuyn. or Theo Van Goh), but if you look into their stories you will see how effectively the media was forced to re-calculate. Remember that media types are narcissists at heart, and image is everything. A wiener to the kisser is just not condusive to stardom! The wiener is a perfect tool because it represents the phallic and is basically harmless. You can't create a madman scenario with a brat-thrower, It would be just too ridiculous.

So there you have it. Ideally, this would be enough to get our message in the mainstream and escalation would not be necessary.

We should be free to discuss radical ideas, we should not attempt to sugar-coat the situation. But social advocacy is the problem not the solution.

But enough people have to be sufficiently educated, outraged and not giving a fuck about being falsely accused of being misogynists and abusers and wanting women locked in kitchens and so on before people will demonstrate in public in any numbers.

So that means keep doing what we're doing until there is a tipping point in numbers and mainstream consciousness.

I don't think sit-ins and civil disobedience are all that radical and they are effective. I would rather see MR go in that directions rather that ideologically conservative.

Men are being sent to jail en masse based on false accusations because nobody could imagine that an innocent little girl could be so malicious. Women are being brainwashed to chase after philistine meatheads and turn down men with positive qualities like the ones we have. Why shouldn't we be radical?

Yes, yes we should. At least to an extent.

Not necessarily take illegal action, but maybe produce the infrastructure necessary to do so, should radical anti-men feminism take action first.
