It does seem inconceivable. They push for removing all male-only spaces, in fact cheer their demise, yet champion keeping all female-only spaces and somehow call that "equality". The hypocrisy is rife.

Now, I am in no way saying that this is a fair or a good thing that's happening here. However, there may be a reason outside of feminism going too far. It's possible that the men's restroom was turned into a unisex restroom because women's bathrooms have incredibly long lines at times, and whoever runs this building was trying to do a quick fix to that by telling women that it's okay to use the mens bathroom, notoriously less full.

That doesn't make this okay, or fair. It's simply a possible explanation.

A couple of things.

I need to see a wider angle or perhaps proof that there isn't a men's room somewhere else.
If these are individual bathrooms (one toilet and you lock the door behind you) then I honestly don't have much a problem with this. The constant theme of restrooms is a huge line outside the women's bathroom and a smaller line for the men's and the plight and then plight of the trans. Ideally three rooms are the best, but practically speaking, in terms of amount of use, this is a working solution.

It's probably missing the men's room down the hall, because many establishments have a "family" bathroom in which a husband and wife can take their kid in together, or a male disabled person can have his female assistant come help. That being said I find this subreddit is becoming circlejerky like r/athiesm and actually counterproductive to the MRA movement. There are real issues, we don't need to try and make everyone cj over some stupid picture and make fools of ourselves.

At my workplace, there's 2 floors. Each floor has a men's bathroom and a unisex bathroom. They're all single-person, too. Only difference is the men's ones have urinals.

I think the best solution is a third bathroom that is designated unisex. It would make it more comfortable for Transgender peoples to use.

Getting rid of an all male bathroom, and by extension urinals, is a bit ridiculous.

I'm not a fan of using a urinal in-front of women. Whenever possible (as is almost always possible in my country) I use the men's restroom as opposed to a unisex bathroom.

Making it illegal to urinate standing up is absolutely ridiculous, doesn't this violate the often spouted 'my body, my choice' rule that is used in gender and abortion discussions? Men have a right to their bodies just as much as women, and It's increasingly being ignored.

If ANYTHING then it should be a male only bathroom and a dual bathroom, since women can't use urinals. Not that I'm advocating that.

At my last office we had the opposite - - a unisex (formally women's) and a men's room. I didn't like it because men used the unisex as the "shitting bathroom" and so I frequently couldn't get into a stall for 15 min or so!

Personally, I wished they had just made both unisex. I imagine they didn't, though, because the men's room had urinals.

At my marina, they changed ownership and this new bitch changed a bunch of stuff , now there is a women's only restroom, and a co-Ed one . The coed one has the shower in it so its usually taken , and she has security cams that watch the entrance to the bathroom and yells at you if you use the women's one .

Both of these used to be coed .

to be fair women usually take 9.7 hours to go to the bathroom, compared to mens 1.6 seconds,anyway it could be a gynecologists office, or an abortion clinic, or a lesbian bar, who knows, i doubt this is a wal-mart or anything.

All bathrooms are unisex with a robots signs instead of a gender signs.

I'm planning on making a big decal on the doors with a big question mark, similar to that SpongeBob episode on Rock Bottom.

I'm really getting tired of seeing posts that paint feminism, as a whole, in a negative light. Yes, the extremes of feminism are dangerous and harmful to the idea of gender equity. Yes, the extremes of masculism are equally as harmful. There are good feminists out there who want the same thing as those in this subreddit, but simply fly a different banner. This is why I wish we'd just adopt gender equity as our movement and cease these gendered counter movements.

So please stop saying this is the work of all feminists. And no, I'm not a feminist.

I think all public spaces should have a gender-neutral OPTION (I don't particularly care if there are men and women specific bathrooms, as long as there's both if they exist).
