I think I've seen some of what you're talking about and I think (hope?) it's the result of common arguments such as "replace man with black man" or in the case of "women are more privileged than men" people then applying that reversal of expectations to racial dynamic, sometimes their point is rather ambiguous and a racist interpretation is possible and sometimes obvious, other times you'll see a complaint about affirmative action for women and then someone will expand it to a problem with affirmative action as a whole.

And sometimes people are just racist assholes.

Although that specific program is specifically racist isn't it? As well as sexist. If you defined the parameters of the people you wanted to help by their problems and not by how they were born, you'd get young black men disproportionately described, but since there's something like six or seven times more young white men altogether, you'd probably be describing more young white men in absolute numbers, as well as some young women having those issues. For example there are more white men in prison than black men, and there's a small number of women. So a prison related program that refused to help white men or women, on the basis that proportionately black men were the worst effected, seems racist and sexist to me, but especially it's racist. If you insisted that separate but equal programs are required for each race I'd be very suspicious of that claim, but in the case of women there really are scores of programs to help them. Are there any programs to help disadvantaged white male youths that exclude black male youths? I doubt there are.

I actually think the complaints based on race are just cover for attacking the poor in general. Why is it considered worse to be racist than to be anti-poor? But it is.

you get idiots occasionally posting on here being sexist racist or anti equality, but they are downvoted to oblivion generally. assuming this is a group pulling things into one direction or another is foolish.

post replies to them in the threads and downvote them.
