One of the things that really has been bothering me of late is noticing the spinelessness of my peers. I'm 19 (well will be in 23 days) and I've noticed many of my male peers lack any sort of confidence in themselves. That sort of (pardon me for using a fictional character here) Don Draper-esque ability to work and run a room. The ability to make people listen when you speak. I was raised by my mother but all my male role models were very classical men. Most of the women in my family stayed home to raise the kids (all of whom are doing smashingly well). Needless to say none of us are beta males in the personality sense and we're all very good at shmoozing and getting people to listen to us and (ocasionally like us). The only people I've noticed that this seems to rub the wrong way are these pushy feminist types. They prefer the emasculated men who cower and never have an opinion. I'm currently studying nursing (as a gateway to an MD) and the faculty is entirely composed of women and the class is predominantly women so this is something I run into frequently. They don't want to be told they're wrong but I'm more than willing. See the brilliant part about being as queer as a three dollar bill under a blue moon, is that I don't give a flying fuck if they don't like what I'm saying because I don't have to try and get into their pants. As a side note: I find it terribly ironic when I run into gay men who are staunch feminists (I know this will sound cold) but on one hand why is that the cause they've taken up when chances are it will literally not effect them at all. I'm an MRA advocate because those are my rights, my SOs rights (who's currently deployed in Afghanistan) and the rights of my future children (possibly). To be anything other than an egalitarian as a gay man is terribly ironic and misguided. I apologize if this is slightly all over the place, I've been dipping into the Black Label tonight.

Cheers boys!
