To be clear, Men's Rights is not anti-women, it's anti-feminism. There are lots of equality-minded females and we respect them a lot. We just don't respect a movement that deals in lies, double-standards and special privileges.

If you think we are against women, then you are part of the problem and you've drunk the kool-aid that says feminism represents all women and if you are against it then you are against women.

This is an important point. While there are some, even many women who will flat out do us wrong, we have to be careful that we don't become the male version of exactly what we're fighting.

Equal rights are not found by demonizing the other side. Hoping to hit a comfortable equal by pushing and fighting and telling ourselves we'll stop once we win enough to be in the middle doesn't work.

I would post my own examples of good stories, but I'm forever alone and living in a sausage fest of a dorm... so, so much for that.

I think equal financial responsibility and equal sexual availability may be a big step in the right direction. Also, keeping game playing to a minimum in a relationship. Regardless of gender, playing games implies that there is going to be a loser which isn't way to get ahead long-term if you care about yourself and your SO.

I'd actually really like to see stories like this. I try to treat the men in my life with respect, but I'd really love to hear from the male point of view exactly what I should do to ensure that the men I know feel as valued as they are.

This is a woman flat-out asking how to do it right! The men I know pretty much universally treat me well and I'd like to return the favor.

My SO was badly abused by his ex. He has PTSD, he's in counseling.

He's been fighting in Family Court for years to maintain his rights over his daughter.

Sometimes my SO hears some things I say the wrong way and reacts from his conditioning and abuse. It's not pretty. Do I deserve a medal for hearing wrong words directed at me? No. Do I deserve a medal for being here. No. Do I deserve anything at all for coming here to post about his struggle so that others can gain from what we've learned? No, not at all.

My SO deserves a medal for surviving that bitch.

I am not under the impression that we are against women. I just think that if we are fighting for equal rights we need to offer a viewpoint on not just the bad, but also point out where things are good and why. If we offer no good side, how are our opponents going to see what we want? As it stands this group is looked at as solely demonizing from the 2XC and feminist groups. But that is precisely incorrect, we want equality.

Tl;dr .. Point out where the inequalities are, and offer good solutions by backing them up with real life events that show how these equalities should work.

Agreed. We should visualize, in our minds, a world where women act like women again (and we are allowed to act like men again). The best way to visualize is to provide positive examples.

If we spend all day saying "this woman beat her man," we'll get depressed. If we keep a positive focus in mind, we'll be energized.

r/OneY would probably be a better place for such a story. The mods over there would probably appreciate it.

However, this reddit is a place for men to vent about their issues with feminist politics and learn coping mechanisms when they have suffered due to the feminist pogrom that has plagued the Western Countries (and Eastern ones as well considering the problems in India).
