Isn't it kinda weird how they posted the guys name and a picture of him? I feel like this is unusual and unnecessary. Most of the time when i read articles about child molestors, they dont publicly profile the spouse just for fun. The guy isnt humiliated enough? Why does his name have to be dropped at all? If it was a female, i bet she wouldn't get name dropped multiple times.

Seriously, this is officially an epidemic. Though, now y’all know what to respond when hit with the classic “not all men, but always a man”, “not all female teachers, but always a female teacher”.

I can just imagine MRAs documenting this phenomenon with that famous meme of ‘Another one, thank you.”

Setting aside the gender politics for a second, what really irks me is the ongoing notion that interacting with a stranger in public is "creepy". It really bugs me how we've become such an anti-social society that a minor social interaction in a public place is considered some great sin.

She says she was trying to "mind her own business". Well, I've got news for you. If you are in public, people might approach you and speak to you. You can't just whine about "minding my own business" when you're in public. If you want to be left alone, stay in your home. If you're in public, people might approach you and speak to you. That's how it is (and how it should be).

Like yes, the hypocrisy of calling men creepy while being a child molester is disturbing and hilarious. But even just the bit about calling people creepy for daring to interact with a stranger in a public place is so fucking typical of modern society. When I'm at the grocery store, sometimes I'll get asked something minor, like if I can reach the top shelf for a shorter woman. I don't mind that at all, because it's a completely normal social interaction. I don't screech about how I'm trying to mind my own business and do my shopping. I'm in public.

A lot of the stories I've seen on this platform from guys talking about sexually abused (or raped) by women there's a lot of this type. They preach against it then turn around and do the same thing. Seems to be a reoccurring theme actually.
