The Duluth Model does what it's feminist authors intended, it blames all DV on men.

A more serious question is how this bizarre feminist fantasy became used around the world. I would love to know how that happened.

The Duluth Model has worked very well for feminists. Many thousands of innocent men have been removed from their homes, arrested and jailed. Abusive, unfit mothers have been able to keep their children thanks to the Duluth model. It’s helped feminists successfully block male victims of domestic violence from accessing victim resources.

It’s worked wonderfully well for the feminist cause.

It works very well for it's intended purpose which is spreading hatred of men, not fixing domestic violence.

If this was not true don't you think they'd have stopped using it in light of conflicting data over the decades?

Well good luck trying to tell that to anyone who can change anything. It's America, dude, the government basically looks at a scientific study and then does the opposite. Same reason we have a mass shooting every 5 minutes despite there being other countries where more people own guns, but despite that they have a tiny fraction of the gun deaths we have. But having a decent mental healthcare system is COMMUNISM! Our politicians are interested in votes, not solutions.

Speaking from personal experience, I've had girlfriends throw everything from (my own) plates to hammers at me. I've had them throw punches. Etcetera. I defend myself by gently pushing her onto a soft, squishy bed so I have time to retreat, and suddenly everyone thinks I'm an abuser without even trying to hear my side.

I'm a second degree black belt with a collection of trophies for excellence in kicking people in the face. I learned from a 2 time national taekwondo champion. Believe me if I got violent with her she wouldn't have survived.

The whole idea that I got abusive with anyone half my size and they're walking around fine without a mark on them the next day is utterly insane. But "listen and believe", right?

I hate hearing that name. I hate hate hate it. What do I think of when I hear “Duluth”? A Finnish man getting lynched for refusing to serve in WWI. Multiple black men getting lynched. And, some feminist in power telling me that I can’t suffer domestic violence.
