This person prefers child rape over circumcision, is this the discourse we should be having in the sub around this issue?

I was circumcised as an infant and later sexually abused whilst seven and eight. Were I given a choice between the two I'd refuse the circumcision.

The sexual abuse did not leave permanent scarring or long term physical harm. As a result of the circumcision I experience pain during full erection and cannot maintain an erection whilst wearing a condom. In addition I get daily reminders of the mutilation every time I go to the toilet. Not so for the sexual abuse.

I would rather have been raped. At least then, I'd still have my whole body.

You responded to this comment with libelous accusations of paedophilia. The post itself was merely a statement of personal preference. In no way was it promoting child sexual abuse.

You misinterpret another's words, create a big song and dance based on that misunderstanding, libel the poster, escalate it to a new thread AND call others "agent provocateurs"?

Note he doesn’t say he overall prefers child rape. That person is speaking to his own preference, clearly stating he would rather be raped than be circumcised. That personally wouldn’t be my preference, but one thing I like about this sub is people are able to express their own views with little censorship. I much prefer that to subs where only certain PC views are tolerated. I think he should be able to express his opinion no matter how many here think similarly or otherwise.

Physical harm = Physical harm + Mental harm

That person just chose what he prefers and is not advocating rape, if you have read it in the right way.

I was molested as a child and it did not traumatize me. Now I'm not saying rape is ok but rape commonly occurs in nature and animals even emotionally intelligent animals get over it. As long as one that is molested or raped is not maimed or put in intense physical pain nor contracts an std then there should only be moderate or minimal trauma involved. Circumcision on the other hand can leave a penis less sensitive for the rest of the victims life. Just like high level FGM leaves the poor woman devoid of sexual pleasure.

Some men are scared pretty badly from circumcision, probably pretty many. My husband has scars from it and it weirded me out when we were 16. You don't expect big scars on a man's penis. I would imagine for men with scars and curious women, it would get get old explaining the cause, or maybe the girl is turned off by it or thinks its something its not. Circumcisions get botched often too, which may lead to pain and ED. They're usually done by the mother's gynecologist who is not a urologist. Very many circumcized men will experience ED eventually. It's why viagra is such a big seller in the USA. We're the land of MGM, viagra and anti-depressants.

No one knows what another person is or has suffered. To me, it looks like the reply was from someone who has suffered greatly and all I feel is empathy.

I understand why circumcision is a problematic issue, but I fear this sub is being targeted by agent provocateurs to make us look bad with bad faith arguments such as this. Honestly in my opinion this take is disgusting and uncalled for and people should be shunned for this.
