Intersectional Feminism

You know how they say that eskimos have 55 different words for snow?

In the same way, intersectional feminists have 55 different words (or more) for victimhood. Their entire existence is focussed on listing out all the different ways in which they're a victim, and inventing new ways regularly - hence all the man- words: mansplaining, manspreading, manthreading, manterrupting. The man- words are just the inevitable byproduct of intersectional feminists dreaming up new ways to be victims.

The reason for all this focus on being a victim is because feminists are part of the new victimhood culture, which assigns status in the social hierarchy based on how much of a victim you are.

Up until now our society has allocated social status based mostly on achievements: people who rise to the top of sport, business or politics usually have the most status. As a result, people are motivated to achieve something worthwhile in order to receive status.

But under victimhood culture, people are only motivated to make themselves into bigger and bigger victims. The only way they can do that is get offended, upset and "traumatised" by ever-more trivial things - and that's exactly what we're seeing.

Intersection feminism is a cancer in society.

I've suffered genital mutilation.

I've been personally denied a job multiple times because on the colour of my skin.

I've been personally denied a job multiple times because on my gender.

I've been denied full service because of my gender while having to pay the same price as the opposite gender.

To read that list you'd think I was a person of colour living at the turn of the last century - nope, I'm just a middle aged white man living in middle class suburbia.

Intersectional feminism is the realization that life isn't fair and that every individual has a different experience. What followers of the label often fail to realize is that you cannot effectively label people with oppressions and privileges, because those those attributes are also experienced differently by individuals, and thinking that you are enlightened enough to label others is incredibly egocentric.

This "trend" by Reddit users to create "alternative" labels is somewhat off putting. I've noticed when an alternative label is used it generally requires a great deal of follow-up effort to explain to the populace what the new term means and justify its use (if it's to catch on). Inevitably the explanation drifts to the use of ever more alternative labels, In essence attempting to explain the new terminology with more new labels. What could once have been perceived as a possible attempt at intellectualism, fails the test for the explanation. Think it's not true? Go to the tween groups and ask them to define pansexual. A lot of young folks insist they are, but it doesn't appear that any have a concise, consistent definition of what it is their subscribing to. Enter "Intersectional Feminism." Really folks? And then someone is going to attempt to seriously define it with a straight face? I put it right up there with "pansexual" and anything "binary / non-binary" <fill in the blank>. They are hardly valid terms. In my humble opinion, if you don't know your words you don't know your argument. You may ask "what's this got to do with MensRights?" Well, nothing. It's just a rant, I feel compelled to comment on issues that push my buttons. Anyway, back to the thread.

As probably the only intersectional feminist here, I can pretty confidently say that OP has no idea what they're talking about.

If anyone actually wants the theory explained to them, I'm down. But something tells me that instead, the same people who bemoan feminists ignorantly sticking by their misrepresentations of MRA points will ignorantly stick by their misrepresentations of feminist points.

Actually, is their belief in the lack of discrimination against white males that actually leads to discrimination against them.

Taking their philosophy one step further, you get the idea that all white men are born with certain rights and privileges that are denied those to other groups.

And with that idea, you can justify your belief that white men don't have any problems.

And thats how you end up with President Trump. Because when you take an entire group like that and tell them time after time that their problems either don't exist, or are too insignificant to matter, then they end up voting for the one person who at least acknowledges their struggle.

Not even that it's also straight white males. It doesn't matter if you're a university and private school educated heiress, if you're a black lesbian you are vastly less privileged than a homeless white veteran.
