I sometimes think about this... it was male poets, novelists, song writers, playwrites, psychologists, and doctors that literally defined the vernacular around these feelings and these emotions: The human condition. For 1000's of years.

Yet, as modern society heaps empathy on girls and disdain on boys we're seeing the human condition itself becoming a gendered concept. If the human condition is something we now associate with girls, then can't it be said we are, very literally, dehumanizing boys?

Indeed. Which is one reason it annoys me so much to see people who are overly-protective of their daughters, and concerned about defending girls from guys "trying to take advantage of them". The then same people have zero concerns about keeping their son's safe from abusive girlfriends, or protecting boys from women trying to take advantage of them

This "he'll be fine, he's a boy. But girls need to be looked out for" attitude is very negligent and it's dismissive of these kinds of struggles that many boys experience

Ticking things off this list like a collection.

I've never had an eating disorder or been cheated on (thank god/that I know of), and luckily I didn't have the guts to commit suicide when I was deeply depressed.

I decided to do something different and 'come out' with my depression, to parents first, then to friends. A lot of my nearest and dearest were confused why I was suddenly so hard to get hold of in November '17 and I had to tell them why.

Now a few more people understand that men can be all this too. It's only a few more, but I just hope it'll help someone.

My thoughts are this is one of the leading causes of school shootings being so prevalent today. Boys are treated like absolute dog shit in grade school and i'm calling it out!! Can't tell you how many times I was or saw somebody get picked on or bullied. For trite stuff too, oh, you don't wear Abercrombie or some designer clothes? Bullied. Have acne? Bullied. No girls think you are cute? Bullied and ostracized. This kinda stuff has been fermenting for years, and it's gotten so bad that it's spilling over now.

Although this is a good post, the title does not say enough about its subject. This forces people to click and read before they can decide whether they are interested. It also makes searching impossible.

If everyone did this, the subreddit would become unusable. Moreover, it means that your post will fail to reach some readers because they won't know what it's about.

So please don't do it in future. Take the time to describe your link, and save the time of hundreds of other people.

When making a title, it's best to assume the reader doesn't know what you're talking about - but don't go overboard with every detail. Then check if there are any words you can cut out without losing any important information.
