Seems ironic since I gave had it the other way around.

Friends talking to me about their boyfriends (yuck to much information), work colleagues talking about their husbands, brothers, sons. Family members talking to me about their work colleagues.

Yet after I listen through all of that they zip off before I can even ask a simple question about a situation I'm in.

Holy shit. I can’t count the number of times that a woman has violated my established boundaries in an effort to maintain an unwanted connection with me and get her insatiable emotional needs met. I guess if all of these women have had this same kind of experience with men, then it’s fair enough for them to talk about it. However, framing this behavior as a male trait, and ignoring the fact that women routinely do the same thing, paints a supremely inaccurate picture that quickly devolves into irredeemable absurdity.

While I was reading that post, I felt like I was watching an angry mob crowd source a cognitive distortion. Reddit circle jerks are cancer.

Also, it's quite funny since it's usually the exact opposite way around. Men doing "emotional labor", as they'd put it, with her reaction being what they get in return when they need someone to talk with.

Also², " Customers who spent my time and patience lecturing me about conspiracy theory crap or their political beliefs and I had to smile through it.". This has absolutely nothing to do with what she complains about in the first place. This just sounds like the common entitled mindset of "I can talk about whatever I want to, and the people have to listen (case in point, her making a thread about her "feelings" right here) otherwise they are rude, but when it comes to anyone else (well, just men, gotta love sexism) people are only worth something if they or what they say is "interesting" to me". Zero empathy or interest in other people. I've seen way too many of these.

So far I've been going through the comments and they're pretty fair. They are talking about their experience which applies only to the guy they are talking about. So far the only person who has taken a general stance against men is the op, it's just a rant to an extent. Is it right for her to say some of what she said? No. But honestly this post isn't something we should be focusing up on.

Edit: there is even a thread where a guy brought up some points and it's pretty fair, accurate and is getting accepted
