Evolutionary psychology is a horrible unscientific field. It’s the same field that tells us that black people biologically have extra muscles that make them better at sports, and that the cranial size and body shape of black person shows they are suited for manual labor. Which many slavers used to defend saying it is proof black people are meant to be slaves.

The reason psychology exists is because humans are different than animals. Animal behaviors such as mating don’t translate to human behaviors. we have love, sex, hook ups, boredom romance. These are psychology terms.

There is no standardized test to be able to falsify evolutionary psychological claims. Example: women prefer rich men for mating. There is not A single scientific study that is falsifiable with correct and accept biological and psychology definitions.

The reason we have anatomy, psychology, and human physiology broken apart from biology is because we have different means of testing humans rather than animals. Mainly... we can talk to humans. Again, mating is a educated guess in animal sexual behavior. We say animals “mate” because we can observe their sex, but we cannot ask them,” Hey, why did you pick that mate?” That’s a psychology question. Which, “I was bored and he was available” can be an answer. Which isn’t an attempt at mating. It’s bordom.

As someone who has studied animal behavior for over 5 years now, there’s a huge saying in animal behavior, “We don’t use animal behavior terms for human beings,” which is a rule Evolutionary Psychology does not follow.

Again, this is the field where Jews tested upon during the holocaust and where doctors “found” that they have an evolutionary body structure that is suited for concentration camps and potential gassing.

Again, having studied into my masters for biology and statistical analysis, I cannot stress enough, evolutionary psychology is the equivalent to Astrology with proof and testing rigidity. But we deep moral complications that have been slowly weeded out of science.

Please study psychology instead. Or evolutionary biology. Those fields will take you further, and are more scientifically robust.
