Advocacy for the interests, rights, status and position of women, typically premised on the idea that women are the oppressed sex.

Most forms of feminism absolutely insist that it is women whom are the oppressed sex, and think "both sexes suffer in different ways" isn't an acceptable feminist position.

'Feminism' is made intentionally vague by feminists in order to deflect criticism.

But w can look at what the feminist movement does and use that to define feminism. The UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women says that society needs to redistribute power and resources to women even if there has been no evidence of discrimination. That's a pretty good summary of feminism in my mind.

A movement is what a movement does. Feminism has repeatedly lobbied for and won laws that advantage females and disadvantage males. To that end they release a lot of propaganda that trashes men and over states female victimization.

They claim to be humanists but are basically people that fight for womens rights... which would be fine if they didnt act like they were interested in equal rights for everyone but actually completely turning a blind eye to mens issues and being biased af in 99% of cases I have encountered.

Feminism pursues women's interests. It is a special interest organization for women. Just like the oil and gas industry has its special interest groups. Equality is not the real goal if equality doesn't serve women's interests. The alleged social idealism of feminism usually takes a back seat to serving women's interests.

I would suggest a broad investigation from different existing sources. Since it is a social movement, investigate what feminists and accepted feminist organizations of different varieties use as their definition, and then compare that to the definition used by those who disagree with aspects of it, or those who are spiteful about it. It's all out there.

You want to learn what the zealots say, the moderates, and the “heretics” who speak out against it—the whole spectrum must be apprehended, if you want a near-objective assessment.

There is no “orthodox” feminism, either, to be clear. There are broadly-agreed-upon beliefs/aspects/goals of it, as well as “radical/extremist” beliefs/aspects/goals that only some of the larger demographic believe or support. The activists will behave and push for things that moderate believers of a feminism might not be comfortable with or support. Just like a broad religious ideology, there are different movements and “denominations” within the one single descriptor.

True feminism is fighting for women to be treated like human and to end sexism. Today, sexism is relatively minimal, so they’re fairly redundant at this point.

Many people who call themselves feminists and act like they’re still oppressed today, are actually pro-misandry activists rather than women’s rights activists. They don’t want equality, they want the tables turned.

You could literally kill 90% of men and lock the last 10% in breeding pens, and feminists would **STILL** believe these remaining 10% of men are somehow privileged. Maybe cause they don't have to work and get taken care of by women for free or some shit. Look, I wouldn't put it past them to have that kind of reasoning. That's what locking in a prior does to your brain, it forces you to self-lobotomize your ability to see any evidence that goes against it.

95%+ of feminists follow anti patriarchy, and push gender social reconstructionism, which has nothing to do with Feminism.

Feminism is about treating women reasonably equal to men.

What feminist mean by being anti patriarchy is being anti men in leadership roles. They believe only women should be making the decisions.

What they mean by pushing gender social reconstructionist views, is that they believe the brains of men and women are the same, that there are no innate differences. Which means all gender expressions and behaviors are socially constructed, and have no biological roots. So if a boy feels masculine, acts masculine, finds feminine girls the most attractive, find girls in general attractive, desires to be a protector of a girl he likes, desires to approach a girl for a date, happens to be a risk taker and competitive, it's all socially constructed in their view. They want to fight against this social construction, by forcing a result where it's normalized for boys to act like both sexes. Harry Styles for instance, "all boys should be normalized to wear dresses and makeup". Which goes against human nature.

The very nature that they deny exists. Which is the perfect brain worm to erase society. This is what they mean by "dismantle the patriarchy".
