This is my first post to this subreddit, so my apologies if it doesn't quite fit the usual format. I'm a younger man currently going to school in one of the most liberal areas in the entire United States: Sonoma County, California. To give an idea of just how feminist this area is, women's history month was started not only in my county but in my very town. Before this becomes a long rant about how much I hate California, I'll get to the actual question I had for the sub.

The official school news publication released a short video about recent events, including the attack and invasion of Ukraine. Like pretty much every other news outlet in the nation, they failed to highlight the bravery and unfairness of the men who are forced to stay behind, instead opting for a generic recognition of "citizens." I personally believe that it is especially important now more than ever to highlight struggles men face, and I want to be vocal against this brushing aside of men's issues that we see so often. I just wanted to make a comment on the youtube video, seeing as that's pretty much the only way I have to express my voice. I wanted to share the draft of my comment with the subreddit and get some feedback, as I'm posting this publicly under my actual name.

The currently drafted comment reads as follows: "Good coverage on the situation in Ukraine, except for one important detail. It's not just citizens who are staying behind and fighting for their country. Specifically, it's men. These brave men need to be recognized in a time during which the mainstream media is simply forgetting about these soldiers in favor of highlighting the struggles their female counterparts have faced."

Does this comment accurately articulate everything that needs to be said on the situation? Any negative or positive feedback is very much appreciated:)
