i attend a public college in Ontario and today i was kicked out of my schools gym for being a male. My school has recently instituted a policy were on wednesdays from 6-10 at night is ladies night in the gym. So today my class ended at 530 and i decided to go to go work out at 550 a student who works in the gym said i have 10 minutes to leave. i began to question her as to why saying "i pay tuition to go to this public institution and your going to kick me out because im a man and i was born the wrong gender". to which she said "on Wednesdays ya". at this point i was pretty pissed off and yelled "this is bullshit" and left.

now i know most of you are not familiar with Canadian law but up here we have the canadian charter of rights and freedoms (our constitution) which trumps every law in canada. and section 15 of the charter says

  1. (1) Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability. (2) Subsection (1) does not preclude any law, program or activity that has as its object the amelioration of conditions of disadvantaged individuals or groups including those that are disadvantaged because of race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disability.

so i was wondering what would should i do? should i talk to the dean, file a discrimination lawsuit, or put up a bigger fight for my rights?
