I remember seeing a video on Facebook about this. It was from a talk show and the host was Bethenny Frankel and someone from the audience described how she was on a date and the bill was $20 and she "tested" him by reaching for her wallet and was asking if he wanted to split it or not and he agreed, 10 each. And people were making noise and saying what a bad move it was. I don't think it was. I don't think it's fair one person pays for the whole thing, despite if it's just 20 or not

Always say youre splitting the bill before the date is even agreed to happen. If he doesnt accept then either call it off or request split checks during the date right in front of her. Then she can pay for her meal you pay for yours. You arent splitting the check youre just paying for your part instead of down the middle.

They are acting like he threatened her. In the video it does seem like she drops the bomb as soon as the bill is payed. "We can still be friends" "that's fine friends pay half"
