One of the most dishonest things I've ever heard is when people claim the baby does or doesn't count as human life depending on if the woman wants it to be a life. As in if she wants to kill it that's acceptable but if she is in a car accident and dies it counts as a charge of murder or manslaughter. Talk about a god complex.

This is a tough topic. I would vouch more for fairness on this subject. I think, a woman should have the choice to abortion but I also think a man should have the choice if he wants to be a father and have those responsibilities or not. With the amount of contraceptive options out there, it's not fair that anyone, man or woman (especially youngsters), should have to give up their lives because of an accidental pregnancy and the state says they now have to have that child and bear that responsibility irregardless of any circumstances.

It is actually alive. Scientifically it is objectively alive by the criteria we use to identify life. It's also objectively human. On it's own this doesn't mean abortion is wrong, that argument requires further basis, but those points are worth clarifying.

Well, if you can 100% decide on abortion or not, then you have to 100% make sure to protect as a women. A guy doesn't have to care and doesn't need to pay anything when you decide to not abort it

So I agree, if abortion is to be legal and men get no say in the pregnancy, then men must be let off the hook financially. You can't give authority to one party and accountability to another. That's practically the definition of injustice.

As someone who is pro-life this isn't really something I have to grapple with. I would just prefer to criminalize abortion entirely, not for the father's sake but for the child's. But for pro-choicers, it must really suck creating a system where a father has no ability to protect his child from abortion.

fetus is not like rock, it is actually alive. But not sentient. Simple unsentient life is not sacred. Billions of animals are routinely killed. It is also allowed to terminate life support for braindead patiennts - still alive, but their sentience is irreparably destroyed.

A woman should always have be the one who decides whether or not to abort. You can't force another person to carry out your will against their wishes, and no one should be forced to have a child. This applies to all parties - and just as women should not be punished for expressing their sexuality with motherhood, neither should men be considered a legal father against their will. But women, being the ones to carry the child, should be tbe decision maker for what happens to the fetus/the pregnancy.

If a woman makes a unilateral decision to bring pregnancy to term, and the biological father does not, and cannot, share in this decision, he should not be liable for 21 years of support... autonomous women making independent decisions about their lives should not expect men to finance their choice.

Embryo, fetus, baby they are alive. On the matter of sapience it's tricky since we do not have full knowledge of the brain and cannot do tests to measure such thingat that point.

Abortion should only be allowed

• in case where the baby and/or the mother will most certainly die if abortion doesn't happen, as to save at least one of the two.

• in case of incest and rape, but only before the circulatory and/or the nervous system start to develop.

We are still not in full knowledge about how the brain works so that way we avoid any potential suffering for the murdered offspring.

If a man and a woman have sex consensually (even if they're drunk imo) they should be prepared to take responsibility for their action.

That means that they should bring the child to the world (the woman carries it and births it, the man helps her). It also means that in case that they won't keep it, they should find it a suitable home. And in case one of them keeps it the other will either pay child support or lose all parental rights. In case they both Keep it, they must do their best to co-parent.

Also, I hate when people compare literal abortion to financial abortion. They are NOT the same . One of them literally ends a life, it literally kills one's own offspring. The other simply lifts all responsibility for the care of the offspring from one of the two parents.
