Why are Men’s/boys issues always invalidated

Misandry is systematically normalized. It's the status quo. Most societies are too deep into it to even realize that it's all around them. They see a man being a victim and don't even consider that he might have been victimized because he was a man, how calling him weak is victim blaming or how they see weak men was possibly what lead to him being a victim in the first place. Many women have grown to rely on that misandry or will become defensive about it any time it is challenged because they have been so complicit into it.

Lack of empathy.
Seeing gender related issues as a zero sum game - money and focus being bought to men’s issues should instead go to women’s issues.
Wanting to maintain status quo - family courts favour women, abusive women aren’t taken seriously, etc., some aren’t willing to give up their privileges.

Women obsessed with being victims of the patriarchy seeing men struggle due to the fact they are men invalidates their belief that men are evil tyrants that everyone bows down to. Also why they conveniently switch topics when stuff like only men being subject to drafts they'll shift the attention to "no one should be drafted" instead of focusing on how it is unfair for men.

Even male issues regarding fatherhood is somehow always twisted to be about women. Men complaining people look at them weirdly when they are with their kids, women sympathise then make it about themselves saying it affects them and they can't leave childcare to their husbands which makes it hard for them to have personal time. It never just stays a male issue they either shift the focus to women or try to apply it to everyone.

There was an article saying more men are homeless...yet said women are most affected by this because their dating pool is getting shorter. I forgot who but someone literally tried to make out that women were most affected by war instead of you know the actual people fighting aka the men.

Society and human nature has always treated men as disposable. A man only has value if he is providing something to society, otherwise he is forgotten and cast aside. His problems don't matter, just his results.

Women have inherent value in their youth and childbearing abilities. This is just the way it's always been.

A couple years ago, I had sat my parents down and told them both (with my current partner at the time) that I had been groomed & r@ped for several years from 16-19. My dad took it as expected… but my own mother. Well, she said it was my fault cuz “I kept going back” like huh???? I was honestly floored, I couldn’t speak and I just started to cry. Nothing was really said after that, no action, no comfort, no consoling, the matter was just dropped.

A few weeks later, both my sisters had also came forward with their stories. I was still reeling with emotion of my own experience, and my mam had to knock me down even further by then saying I should be there for my sisters, my problem isn’t as bad cuz I’m a guy and reiterated once again it was my fault. Like, how can I look after someone else when I’m still reeling over my own problems?

I’ve cut every single one of them off as I’ve expressed my discomfort of how they handled it. I just keep getting called childish and that I’m still living in the past. And safe to say, with the help of my mates and crap ton of therapy, I’m in a much better place.

Men’s problems really are just the shit at the bottom of the shoe when telling women and we’re expected to just deal with it. Really changed my point of view.

i look at it another way: men’s rights are invalidated bc as men, ultimately, all the responsibilities end up in our face anyway!!

so take charge, live the life you want to live ON YOUR TERMS, and if it’s not up to par, go another route. but do not sit around waiting for women, the law, the courts, or public opinion to give 2 shits about a man’s problems. men don’t whine!

Feminists have successfully transformed the zeitgeist into something that is anti male. Schools, universities, laws, courts, social programs, shows, movies, books, etc are all entirely ant male. All men are dehumanized, all male roles replaced. Males have original sin with no hope of redemption. Males are oppressors. All negative aspects of human nature is attributed to maleness without a second thought.

Feminists also view and the world as a zero sum game. So if me get attention it must be take away from women.

Even before all of this cultural poison and political warfare, naturally, there is an empathy gap against men.

i think it’s cause women are so scared of our true potential as men, and it makes them oppress men when they are just boys. you see it everywhere. they want us to be overlooked and invalidated so they can climb the social hierarchy and hold dominance over us men. they want us to be below them so they can hold all the power and do what they like with us with no threat of consequences.

We like to think society is fair. We like to think that if you point out any discrimination people will understand how unfair it is and will fix it. This is what we were told about how society works

"Women were discriminated against but then women started to speak up, and society realized how unfair discrimination against women was, and then women got their rights"

Society doesn't work like that. Discrimination is all about culture, and culture is much harder to change.

Societies where men are discriminated against "CAN'T" realize they are committing such discrimination, because the very fact that men are being discriminated against is what makes that society unable to realize such discrimination. If society was able to realize they are discriminating against men, they wouldn't do it in the first place.

Discrimination against men is like speaking Chinese. Some societies speak Chinese and some others do not. But just like if you go to the USA, or Germany, or Spain and speak to people in Chinese people (most of) won't understand you, if you try to talk to people about men issues most people won't get it. Some people may but most people won't.

Societies change, sure 500 years ago no one spoke English in what nowadays is the USA, but the change takes more than one lifetime, is not as fast as "women spoke up and then people realized they were right".

And more important social changes are less likely to happen than no social changes. The fact that in the USA no one spoke English 500 years ago doesn't necessarily mean that Chinese will be spoken 500 from now. Odds are it won't.

In askreddit there is a “what men’s issue do you not agree with” and one of the answers was how “men aren’t oppressed by anybody so they should sort out all of their own issues” as if societal standards and gender norms have not existed for thousands of years. So many women believe they are forever victims who have never contributed or enabled a unfair or unequal society, when they absolutely have.
