Why are there still so few MRA groups?

Fear is the first reason. People are still too scared of the repercussions of speaking out publicly on these issues. The risks to their personal and professional lives remain too great. Second is ignorance. Not the willful kind, just a simple lack of awareness. Third and finally, most people just don't care. It's a lot easier just to care about women and rewarded for it. Why bother with something no else gives a damn about? Not many people are that willing to be the loner with a cause.

Lack of branding and negative public perception. Both of these problems exist because we lack necessary public visibility.

A lot of people don't know about the MRM and of they do, they often read anti-MRA material that gives them a false perception.

This is why public image and branding is so important. SJWism exploded so quickly using memes and hashtags-aka, branding. The MRM needs more central organization, a one stop place for people to learn about issues, stats, etc.

I think having a network of meet-up groups would be a good next step. Not only would it increase public visibility, but it would strengthen the internal sense of identity, as well as making organizing and activism more effective.

You listed many potentially useful groups. Why ignore any of them? Just because they don't say MRA group doesn't mean they aren't helping men.

There are very few blatantly obvious injustices against men, so most people don't even realize they're occurring or that they're a problem. Also, the lack of exposure for men's issues means that if you don't personally research your subjects, you won't even know why MRA's are needed
