British press are still declaring JD as an abuser and really hounding him due to the verdict in the UK case against The Sun. Feels so bizarre and hugely out of touch after we all saw the US trial. British journalism has really gone south

Great article.

One thing I have noticed on youtube (where most of my soc media time has been spent during this trial) is an outpouring of men of all ages and circumstances making posts about domestic abuse they've suffered, including the sons of female abusers as well as partners. And they get a lot of support from others, which is great. Many preface their post with "I have never told anyone.." so if nothing else, this case just might have given men some encouragement to voice their experience and to not feel so all alone with it.

My ex use to attack me all the time. She was a petulant child who lived in my house and had to have everything her way. Of course she was smaller than me and it never hurt, but it was still unnecessary and uncalled for. I knew if I would have grabbed her and moved her to the side I would have spent that night in a jail cell. I’m glad Johnny got this win. Hopefully things begin to turn around and the courts realize women can be aggressors.

Jesus Christ guys. Yes the average man will not get the same chance as Johnny depp but the average woman didn’t have a good shot at successfully suing her abuser before the Harvey Weinstein case. Now women are believed more. Same thing I’d gonna happen with men now too.
