I believe that depends on whether feminism will lose at least some of its power over society, As long as feminists control the mainstream narrative, they will never allow anything that would challange the idea that only women and girls can ever be victims of sexual violence.

Feminist’s are extremely clever in identifying opportunities to exploit and weaponise language; they’re incredibly good at honing in on emotive speech, using buzz words, and creating slogans; then through circumlocution they nefariously drive their narrative and agenda through disingenuous half truths. They consciously present information powerfully in a manner they’re knowingly aware will be misinterpreted in a way that’s misleading but supports, strengthens and justifies their ideology. There’s countless examples of this being intentional, because when the misinterpreted information subsequently becomes widespread discourse and publicly considered as fact; there are never any feminist voices correcting the error.

The immense power of words and language should never be under estimated, and how feminism has used a simple four letter word proves this. They were and are fully aware that quoting and repeating the statistic of 91% of rape victims are women is being widely misinterpreted. Feminists are unquestionably wise to the fact that the general public in the vast majority are of the incorrect belief that the act of rape is legally defined as “When an individual has sexual intercourse with another without that person’s consent” when in fact there is no legislative jurisdiction that does. To the contrary, whilst globally the definition of rape does vary between countries and regions; there are none that doesn’t require either the assault to have included penetration, often only when it’s by a penis and/or for the act to have been committed against a female victim.

Undeniably then there will obviously always be an inherent gender bias in the resulting statistics around the literal act of rape by its definition legislatively; which is where the misleading yet undeniably attention grabbing 91% figure derives from.

… however should we use the definition that the general public consider to be rape and have been misled to believe the 91% figures derive from of “When an individual has sexual intercourse with another without that person’s consent” the resulting figures for victims being 34% male 66% female doesn’t quite pack the same punch for them does it.

It is important to highlight that it should be fully recognised that the change from 91% to 66% of overall victims being female, does not in anyway demonstrate a reduction in the number of actual women that have suffered from this heinous crime. My heart has and always will go out to them and the perpetrators need to be punished to the full extent of the law.

However, the overall % differential does highlight a significant increase in victims in its entirety, as it recognises an additional 76% of male victims; men who deserve to be seen, men who deserve to be heard, men who deserve equal support, care and compassion to that of female victims… and to reiterate once again, what these male victims deserve, does not diminish the recognition of the horrendous pain and suffering of the female victims nor need it come at their expense; this is not a zero sum game.

In addition to increasing awareness of male victims, another significantly noteworthy consideration that would be highlighted by using the definition that the general public believe to be rape, would be the extremely problematic matter for feminists that completely undermines the 91% headline figure supporting their positioning of victimhood; to the contrary it demonstrates their uncomfortable truth of widespread female predatory behaviour and evidences that women can be abusive too.

Completly unrelated topic but this is also the same for small penis suicide rates they do not put men who commit suicide because of there penis size as the cause of death. And thus all the men who kill themselves and want everyone to know that the reason they did it is because of there penis size never get put in the news or any type of statistic.

They put the reason for suicide as body dysmorphia disorder or even just depression it's absolutely disgusting if we actually knew how many men each year kill themselves because of this problem everyone would realise how bad it's truly gotten and there would be some serious changes to stop these men from killing themselves.

My father committed suicide and wrote in his suicide note that he killed himself because of his penis size and in his death certificate they literally put body dysmophia down as the reason he committed suicide when the note he wrote literally stated why he did it.

I recognize that the forced to penetrate stat adds massive clarity to the actual number of men who are raped (also that many are not reported because male victims aren't taken as seriously).

Do you have any sources for this that indicate the number of men that are forced to penetrate?

I hope that the 1 in 9 statistic becomes more mainstream. It's incredibly high, and I appreciate that subs like this are leading the charge on raising awareness.

I will just note that the CDC doesn't capture the gender of the perpetrators; only the relationship type. We can't extrapolate from this data about the perpetrator gender, because men can be made to penetrate other men; just like women can rape other women. Factor in that there are serial rapists with multiple victims, and we don't have much to go on with offender demographics in this study.

Regardless of what the numbers are on the perpetrators, there are millions of men who have been sexually victimized; and it's immoral to dismiss men's victimization as infrequent or trivial.

They switched the law for rape to the Duluth model. Which is forced penetration, and that’s when the female on male rape statistics became equal to male on female.

Had to change the law/legal definition to doctor the stats, which says quite a lot.

Isn't it more. At least if you go by the 12-month data. In the 2010 CDC 12-month data women raped men 80% as often as men raped women.
