There's a beautiful post about how to validate your beliefs through the premise of imagining like you are speaking to your child. And it got me thinking...

I live in the UK and we just had a show on TV where 8 contestants (bygone celebrities) spent a week living in complete darkness. What was interesting was that it totally removed the looks and psychical aspects. The parts of us that represents us within the light domain, which get talked about here often by men who believe it's what holds them back and how women can be choosy about those 2 traits.

Stripping away those traits, the contestants were left with just their personalities as their representation. Each person had a different personality, which began to take center stage. Some were quick to anger at others' inputs. Others were very helpful in being a positive role model who then took on the role of a positive leader. Others were scared. Some were facing hardships in different ways but learned a lot about themselves and their strengths. There were emotional moments where several individuals opened up about their hardships.

Before I write the remainder of this post I want to make it clear that I'm not looking for reasons why this won't work especially if after a week the lights come back on and people see how you look where you'll feel ugly in yourself etc. That's not what this is about. It's about you questioning yourself and seeing who you are as a person. So imagine you have to live in the dark for a week.

What will you offer as a person in terms of your personality?
How do you perceive others will react to you?
Will you be the life of the party?
Or will you shy away from any talking point for fear of being questioned and put on the spot?
What beliefs do you hold about life and the world?
How would you perceive others in the group?
What are you attracted towards?
What repels you in terms of personalities?
What will you talk about?
What drives you?
What causes you pain?
Would you bring up talking points such as on here like hypergamy etc?
Will you be a positive role model?
Or will you bring the side down with negative talk?
How would you work out if a woman is good looking in the dark?
How would you judge who is a good person and who isn't?

And so on. As you can see loads of different questions can occur. The aim of this exercise to remove that barrier of looks and height.

Am interested to know you guys better. There's hardly any ability to judge character in here other than a sense of anger and frustration aplenty.

Over to you
