Her independence is whatever. My wife couldn't even afford an inhaler when I first met her and now makes more than I do. It's never something I'm interested in unless she's connected to my hip. I don't like that.

Do you guys think that women will be more accepting of dating living-with-family men?

Don't know. I would rather die than move back with my parents. Not because I don't like that, but I'd feel like an absolute failure.

Most of the girls I've dated lived at home and some into their 30's. As much as I bitch I have an OK relationship with my family, so long as they stay over there and I can leave. But I think women having good relations with their family is easier because they have different pressures.

Why aren't mother-daughter relationships considered?

They are both women they would likely relate to each other and be friends/partners. The father-daughter relationship is more important for men bc it shows how she relates and interacts with the opposite sex, her role example and ultimately how she'll be with you. Can a Daddy issue female be a great mother/wife?

When talking about LTR there's a potential being address whether this person is/is not spouse/parent material.

Because these guys are thirsty fucks that won’t care until they are in a relationship with a dependent woman.

some guys like it because they need that to feel manly
some guys will assume that this is how all women are and how all relationships are like
some other guys (me), will absolutely hate it and do everything to avoid involvement with a dependent woman ever again.

I thought it was one of the very common stereotypes that men hate their mother in law and women who are "becoming like their mothers" etc. I guess that one goes both ways. I do think that people are happy when they get along well with their partners family and have a good click, and then the next best thing is a partner who just isnt close to their family. But I've seen couples who end up having harder time breaking up with the family they love than with each other... it's not always bad.

My gf has a bit of a messed up family, I would prefer if that wasn't the case, mostly for her own sake, but does that make me love her less and want to be in a relationship with her any less? No.

Regarding independence we're on track to be living together very soon anyway so I don't care about her current living situation. We met when I was 18 and she was 16 so ofc we were both living at home. Was a non-issue at that age.

If hypothetically we broke up tomorrow then yes it'd be a plus if a new girl I met now I'm in my 20's had her own place.
