A comment from /u/exit_sandman led to this post. Just as most of my OPs are riffing off others comments...

He offered up to PPD his most highly upvoted RP comment for discussion in a thread on EC contributions.

Now, it struck me that this might be a good way to cut through the "this view is core RP", "it isn't", "it is", "it isn't" bullshit.

What I am proposing is.. All RP posters offer us a link to their highest upvoted red pill OP and their highest upvoted RP comment.

Then bloopers can argue against these positions, if they wish, secure in the knowledge that (at the very least) one poster should defend it and, if they're lucky, that most RP posters would defend it as "good core RP". It is, afterall, their most upvoted OP/comment.

Seems like a good way to start a bunch of "mini-debates" each with a guy who can no longer slink away under the cover of "this ain't core RP" as you suspect we do.

I don't think we do that, at least I don't do that, but this seems to be a way to nail our pants to the mast in an unavoidable way.

Plus it also seems to do an end run around the fact that bloopers pick outrage porn from whatever pool we give them. That's very frustrating for the RP posters. Give a blooper any pool of 100 posts, and they're sure to make a beeline for "the most offensive" rather than "the best description of RP". This drives us mental.

This will cut that Gordian knot. You'll get a decent sample of RP. It might surprise you how inoffensive this is (I say "might" as RP upvotes some weird fucking shit sometimes).

You can then check that the post hasn't been "cherry picked" a click on their profile and a sort by "top" would expose anyone "cherry picking". Bloops can feel safe that it's a random sample taken of "what RP upvotes" and Twerps can feel safe that they ain't going to have to try and defend Cis talking about eating women.

I'll leave my top red pill OP and top red pill comment in the first comment. If you want to debate those, jump on that comment thread. Simples.

For now I'll say PPD comments count. If that don't work we will try an "RP only" thread another time.
