I always end up being used for sex instead of getting a guy to commit.

Because the nature of the sexual market place has fostered that environment. The easier men can get sex, the less value they see in commitment. Compounded by the fact that a majority of women are attracted to a minority of men, it's no wonder so many women have a hard time securing commitment.

What advice would you give me on how to actually get a boyfriend who likes my personality?

What you're actually asking here is "how do I get a man to commit to me?". The only answer I can give you is to go completely against your nature and to find a man that essentially doesn't have any other options, who will be eternally grateful that you settled for him. FDS basically, but without all of the delusions about the man she ends up with being "high value".

We're finding that women tend not to take that option though, so my more realistic advice would be to embrace the times and learn to enjoy spinsterhood the same way that men are learning to enjoy being confirmed bachelors.

I will be frank, I don't think you will find a man who only likes your personality unless he is a closet gay.

What you want is to give value to him as a long term partner. How old are you?

It's too hard of a question without actually knowing you or what you look like.

Maybe you're dating men who think they are too "out of your league" to settle down, maybe it's something in your personality that makes men think you're a less suitable option for a LTR or maybe you're just great and you have just been dating ass holes.

The fact that you are getting pumped n' dumped means you are having sex with guys too above your league or "bad boy" in your league types who aren't going to commit but you think sex will hook them.

Go find a fat guy with few options and he'll probably be glad to have you.
